  • Publication number: 20130246096
Abstract: A system and method for analyzing measured blood glucose values is disclosed, wherein the system includes a display device, a memory device, and a processor having program instructions which when executed cause the processor to provide blood glucose measurement information including a plurality of measured blood glucose values collected within a measurement time frame, perform a pre-analysis of the blood glucose measurement information, provide analysis data representing statistical blood glucose level information for the plurality of measured blood glucose values by performing an analysis of the plurality of measured blood glucose values, and provide output analysis data representing the analysis data, wherein the provision of analysis data and/or the provision of output analysis data are performed if, in the step of performing the pre-analysis, at least one of the following control checks is positive a fidelity check, and an adherence check.

  • Patent number: 8452545
Abstract: A method and system is disclosed that enables a less error-prone and preferably automatic assignment of pre-prandial and post-prandial blood glucose values associated with a meal to improve determining the difference between pre-prandial and post-prandial blood glucose measurements as follows. Blood glucose measurements are read and provided with a relative or absolute time mark and labeled as pre-prandial and reading out post-prandial blood glucose measurements provided with a relative or absolute time mark from the memory of a blood glucose measuring instrument. The chronological sequence of the blood glucose measurements labeled as pre-prandial are determined. The post-prandial blood glucose measurements that correspond to each of the pre-prandial blood glucose measurements are determined by applying a time selection criterion. The difference between corresponding pre-prandial and post-prandial blood glucose measurements is determined.

  • Patent number: 7779183
Abstract: The invention generally relates to a communication adapter for use with an ambulant medical device. The device carries out a data transmission to the communication adapter that carries out a data transmission to a computer by means of a data connection. The communication adapter processes the data to be read-out from the devices in such a fashion that it can be displayed on a computer without the use of specific software.

  • Publication number: 20090163793
Abstract: The present invention provides a blood glucose system for treating a glucose metabolic disorder. The system includes a dosing device having a counter for generating a count and memory for storing dose quantities and counts, a blood glucose measuring device having memory for storing blood glucose measurements and measurement times, and a data processor for receiving data from the dosing device and blood glucose measuring device and converting counts to actual times. The data processor synchronizes the counts with the measurement times using a time standard.
