  • Patent number: 9494197
Abstract: This method is for replacing sealing elements on a rolling bearing assembly comprising a rotatable element, a fixed element, and at least one bearing mounted between the rotatable element and the fixed element, at least one used sealing element being rotatably fastened to at least one of the rotatable element and the fixed element and having at least one sealing lip adapted to lay on a first surface of the element with respect to which the used sealing element rotates. The method comprises a step of mounting at least one replacement sealing element so that at least one sealing lip of the replacement sealing element lays on a second surface of the element with respect to which the used sealing element and the replacement sealing element rotate, this second surface being located at a predetermined distance of the first surface.

  • Publication number: 20160108966
Abstract: A rolling-element bearing having a diameter greater than 50 cm includes an inner ring, an outer ring, a plurality of rolling elements between the inner ring and the outer ring, and a seal ring. The seal ring is disposed on a surface of the inner ring or on a surface of the outer ring, and the outer ring or the inner ring includes a recess having at least one interior surface, and the seal ring extends into the recess. Either the seal ring does not contact the at least one interior wall of the recess or the seal ring includes a seal body and a seal lip and the seal body does not contact the at least one interior wall of the recess.

  • Publication number: 20150176654
Abstract: A rolling-element bearing including a seal unit, the rolling-element bearing having at least one bearing ring and a further bearing ring tiltable with respect to the at least one bearing ring by a limited angle, and the seal unit having an at least part-ring shaped element attached to the bearing ring. The at least part-ring shaped element delimits a labyrinthine seal gap and corresponds to a first delimiting element, the rolling-element bearing further includes a second delimiting element and a third delimiting element, the third delimiting element being attached to a bearing cage, and the seal gap extends at least partially between the first delimiting element, the second delimiting element and the third delimiting element.

  • Publication number: 20070193701
Abstract: A rolling shutter assembly including a plurality of interconnecting slats each having an elongated body with a top, bottom, and two sides. Connectors are affixed to the top and bottom of each slat, and a retainer member is attached to each side of each slat. The slats are connected to each other by the hooking together the connectors of the slats. The slats are placed within two tracks located on either side of an opening, and are movable between an open and closed position in between the two tracks. The tracks have retention ledges, contact material holders, and two chambers. In operation, the retention members attached to the slats come into contact with the retention ledges of the tracks when a force is applied to the shutter assembly, thereby preventing the slats from becoming dislodged from the tracks.
