Publication number: 20170365429Abstract: A method for adjusting a magnetic release mechanism includes steps: a first measurement of the present release current I of the magnetic release mechanism is carried out, a decision is made as to whether an adjustment step is performed, a start-adjustment current IJ0 is selected, a second measurement of the present release current I of the magnetic release mechanism is carried out, a decision is made as to whether an adjustment step is performed and that in the event that an adjustment step is necessary, a selection of a certain differential amount ?IJ takes place, partial demagnetisation of the permanent magnet is carried out in a further adjustment step with the adjustment current IJ formed in this way and the steps are carried out in succession until the release current I measured lies within a specified range between ITARGET_min and ITARGET_max.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2017Publication date: December 21, 2017Inventors: Matthias Kulke, Christian Urban, Jörg Schierz

Patent number: 9677332Abstract: An actuator drive, for blinds, roller shutters and the like, has a drive motor and a centrifugal brake. A rotational disk is coupled to a drive shaft of the drive motor via a shaft flange. Two centrifugal shoes are smoothly guided in the rotational disk. In the unpowered state, brake shoes of the centrifugal shoes engage, frictionally or in a positive-locking way on an outer surface of a friction ring fixed to the motor housing. Upon starting of the drive motor, the brake shoes release the friction ring. The radial displacement of the brake shoes is maintained until the drive motor comes to a stop, wherein the brake shoes 8 are drawn radially inward by spring elements and function again as a locking mechanism. The spring elements are pretensioned such that the brake shoes effect a sufficient retaining torque.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2016Date of Patent: June 13, 2017Assignee: JOHNSON ELECTRIC S.A.Inventors: Sten Waehrisch, Matthias Kulke, Wolfgang Winkler

Patent number: 9053885Abstract: Bistable high-performance miniature relay, comprising an insulating housing having a first housing chamber (1b) with a single-phase contact assembly (4) with two current bars (8a, 8b) and a contact spring (13). The contact spring (13) being permanently connected with one leg end a current bar (8a). In a second housing chamber (1a), a bistable magnetic actuator assembly (3) with a pivotable armature (11) is placed. The contact assembly (4) and the actuator assembly (3) are located in one or two planes in the insulation material housing, the contact assembly (4) is provided with a multiplate contact spring (13) bent U-shaped to a current loop, and the actuator assembly (3) is provided with a one-part U-shaped yoke (14) with an excitation coil (17) per yoke leg and a yoke central leg (16), borne by a flat permanent magnet, supporting a rocker armature (11) formed in a slightly V-shaped.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2011Date of Patent: June 9, 2015Assignee: Johnson Electric Dresden GMBHInventors: Jörg Gassmann, Steffen Schnitter, Marcus Herrmann, Matthias Kulke

Patent number: 8669836Abstract: A magnetic trigger mechanism with a yoke with armature opening. The armature is coaxially surrounded by a coil having an excitation coil, which is acted on by a force of a preloaded spring and which remains in a first end position due to magnetic holding force of a permanent magnet when there is no current flowing through the excitation coil. The permanent magnet is arranged at a first end of the armature and the second end position of the armature being achieved by a brief flow of current through the excitation coil together with the accompanying lowering of the magnetic holding force and the spring force. The first end of the armature is guided in the coil body, and the second end position, which faces the armature opening, is guided by a centering ring, the highly permeable centering ring rests against the yoke at the armature opening and can move.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2010Date of Patent: March 11, 2014Assignee: Johnson Electric Dresden GmbHInventors: Matthias Kulke, Thomas Roechke

Patent number: 8547190Abstract: At least one embodiment of the invention relates to a tripping apparatus, particularly for circuit breakers, which includes at least one controllable tripping magnet having an armature that is operatively connected to a downstream tripping gear, which engages in a tripping mechanism that acts on the circuit breaker and is coupled to a preloaded spring serving as a force amplifier. According to at least one embodiment of the invention, the tripping mechanism includes a camshaft having a plurality of cam lobes, wherein at least one actuating device is associated with each cam lobe having an offset rotational angle, and wherein, when tripped, at least two actuating processes associated with the respective actuating means take place consecutively, so that the full spring force is transmitted by way of the camshaft to at least one of said actuating means so as to perform the relevant actuating process.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2010Date of Patent: October 1, 2013Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Jörg Gassmann, Matthias Kulke, Thomas Müller
