  • Patent number: 8176698
Abstract: The invention is directed to a panel, in particular floor panel, having a core made of a woodbased material and having a decoration applied to a visible side, the visible side being provided, on at least one side edge (I, II), with a chamfer running at an angle thereto, and the chamfer likewise being provided with a decoration, characterized in that a relief is stamped into the surface of the chamfer.

  • Patent number: 7958618
Abstract: A method of inserting wooden or plastic connecting elements into at least one of end faces and longitudinal sides of technical wood products which are continuously conveyed along a device. The technical wood products have two opposing planar surfaces, the end faces connect the opposing planar surfaces and have a relatively small surface area compared to the two opposing planar surfaces. At least one of the end faces and the longitudinal sides have grooves for receiving the connecting elements. The method includes providing an inventory of pre-fabricated connecting elements. Cutting and separating the connecting elements and transferring the connecting elements from the inventory into magazines. Grasping individual ones of the connecting elements from the magazines with a transfer device and lifting or lowering the individual connecting element to the height of the groove in the technical wood products.

  • Patent number: 7908816
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for connecting and locking building boards comprising a top face (10) and a bottom face (11), especially floor panels (1, 2) that are provided with a core made of a wood material as well as a groove (3, 4; 5, 6; 18, 19) on two opposite lateral edges (I, II). Said building boards further comprise an insert (7; 8; 9) that is used for locking and can be inserted into the groove (3 or 4; 5, 6; 18, or 19) of one of the lateral edges (I, II). The boards (1, 2) are connected by displacing the boards in an essentially horizontal direction (Q) towards each other. The inventive device is characterized in that the insert (7; 8; 9; 17) is provided with at least one springy lip (7a, 8a; 9a; 17a) which extends towards the top face (10) or the bottom face (11).

  • Patent number: 7730601
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for inserting connecting elements in the end faces and/or longitudinal sides of technical wood products, wherein, according to the invention, an inventory for the connecting elements is disposed on a longitudinal side of the conveyor device. Furthermore, a press-in unit is provided, which presses the connecting elements which are fed and held by a transfer arrangement into the groove in the technical wood products.

  • Patent number: 7562431
Abstract: A method for placing a locking element that forms the spring of a board that is provided with a spring/groove profiling, in particular, a floor panel, in a first groove that is present on one of the lateral edges of the board, where the locking element displays locking means with whose help two boards, connected via the spring/groove, can be locked together laterally with respect to the direction of connection. The method includes transporting the board and locking element at the same speed parallel to each other along a transport distance in a transport direction (T). During the transport, the locking element runs laterally along a fixed device that constantly narrows the transport distance in the direction of transport (T). By means of the device, the locking element is constantly and increasingly shifted laterally with respect to the direction of transport (T) until in the process.
