  • Patent number: 8649809
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for exchanging messages in a mobile radio system by means of a convergent messaging system, which allows an exchange of messages between the terminals of two or more users. According to the invention, a message thread is detected by one of the terminals as soon as a terminal receives a response to a previously sent message, wherein the detection of a message thread by this terminal triggers a recording of the message exchange in the convergent messaging system.

  • Patent number: 8504625
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for transmitting messages from a user application of a subscriber to a user application of another subscriber with the aid of the Multimedia Messaging Service MMS, the message being in the format of an external application and is identified as such by an application identifier that is transmitted along with the message. According to the invention, the multimedia message service is used by the external application as a transport system for transmitting the message. The message is identified by a network element of the Multimedia Messaging Service using the application identifier and is transmitted in an unmodified state via the Multimedia Messaging Service and forwarded to the external application. The invention also relates to a subscriber terminal and a communication system for carrying out said method.

  • Patent number: 8483664
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for service identification for convergent messaging systems, in which a convergent message is interchanged between a sender and at least one receiver (13) via a communication network (10). The invention provides for the message structure of the convergent message to have an information element added to it which contains information about the message type or relating to the handling of the message.

  • Publication number: 20090319626
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for networking a plurality of providers (KMS1, . . . , KMS n) of a convergent messaging service in a network system (1), wherein at least one central broker function unit (broker 1, . . . broker m) is provided, which is physically connected between the individual providers (KMS1, . . . , KMS n) and during the transport of a message to be executed between the providers (KMS1, KMS n) assumes a central routing function within the network system (1). The present invention also provides a suitable network system.
