    Abstract: A medical facility having a room in which a shuttle may be disposed is provided. The shuttle may include a support device and a carrying device for the support device. The medical facility may include a positioning device designed for docking with the shuttle and a control unit for controlling the positioning device. The medical facility may also include a position detection system for determining the spatial position of the shuttle in the room. The control unit is operable to control the positioning device during docking with the shuttle based on the determined position.
