  • Publication number: 20160129496
Abstract: The invention relates to a size composition (coating composition) for casting moulds and cores, comprising at least one metal additive which contains a metal or a compound of a metal, wherein the metal is selected from one of groups 7 or 9 to 12 of the Periodic Table of the Elements. The invention also relates to a process for producing a casting mould, which comprises a mould coating of the size (coating) according to the invention, and to the use of said mould for the casting of metals.

  • Publication number: 20100197866
Abstract: The application describes LCST polymers containing terminal and/or pendant alkoxysilane groups —Si(OR1)xR1y on the main chain, where R1 stands for an alkyl radical having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, y can adopt the values 0, 1 and 2, and furthermore: x+y=3. The LCST polymers can be crosslinked via a condensation reaction of the alkoxysilane groups. This enables the production from the LCST polymers of coatings which adhere very strongly to surfaces. Coatings of this type are not contaminated by free-radical initiators, meaning that premature curing cannot be initiated on incorporation, for example, into powder coatings. The application furthermore describes processes for the preparation thereof and the use thereof for coating particles and non-particulate substrate surfaces.
