  • Patent number: 7262910
Abstract: An illuminating device (10). In one embodiment, the illuminating device includes a light source (12), optical components (16, 18, 20) that define a plurality of light paths (14) originating from the light source, a light-conditioning array (22) on at least one of the plurality of light paths, at least one light output (34) to which an associated device that is to be supplied with light or conditioned light is connectable, at least one light path-selecting unit (24) which is provided with several input light path sections associated with another light path and at least one output light path section leading to said light output or another associated light output.

Each light path can optionally be connected to the light output via the output light path section or to a predefined or selected light output via a predefined or selected output light path section as the selected light path in a corresponding selection mode of the light path-selecting unit by means of the light path-selecting unit that can be switched between several selection modes.

  • Patent number: 6433908
Abstract: A device for deflecting a beam, having a first beam deflection unit (14) and a mirror arrangement (20) which images the deflection point (P) onto a destination point (P′). The mirror arrangement (20) is made rotationally-symmetrical over at least a certain range of deflection angles, the deflection point (P) and the destination point (P′) being located on or near the axis (24) of rotational symmetry (24) of the mirror arrangement. There can be a second deflection unit (16) at the destination point (P′). Furthermore, a process for deflecting a given beam by means of rotation of the mirror surface of a planar mirror (14, 16) from a middle position involves setting the location of the axis (12, 18) of rotation of the plane mirror with respect to the planar mirror outside the mirror surface, the location of the axis of rotation with respect to the given beam being selected by determining the point at which the minimum variation of intersection points of rearward beam extensions occurs.

  • Patent number: 4871515
Abstract: The invention provides an electrostatic particle filter in the case of which the collecting electrode is structured in order to make possible a reliable separation of the particles from the gases. The collecting electrode is so designed that a number of windshadow areas formed by spaces are provided in which the electrostatically attracted particles are able to be trapped without being entrained by the main current. A powerful corona discharge ensures simultaneous oxidation of combustible particles if the gas current contains oxygen.
