  • Patent number: 11929527
Abstract: A fuel cell device of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The fuel cell device includes a fuel cell, a supply air path leading to the fuel cell for a cathode supply air flow, and an exhaust air path leading away from the fuel cell for a cathode exhaust air flow. The supply air path and the exhaust air path are routed through a humidifier that humidifies the supply air and dehumidifies the exhaust air. The exhaust air path is further routed through a water separator that removes water from the exhaust air to provide evaporation water. A heat exchanger for cooling the fuel cell is provided that has an evaporative cooler for cooling the heat exchanger. The evaporative cooler is assigned to the water separator in fluidic communication and is supplied with evaporation water by the water separator.

  • Publication number: 20170334446
Abstract: The invention relates to a lane change assistant for a vehicle comprising a sensor arrangement for calculating information relating to lanes and other road users. Provided is an arithmetic and logic unit for calculating movement paths for a first lane change and a subsequent second lane change to the original lane. The vehicle driver can accept or initiate the calculated lane changes. • Patent number: 9360332
Abstract: In a method for determining a course of a traffic lane for a vehicle (10), structures that demarcate a trafficable space are detected in image data from an image acquisition unit (2), and these structures are plotted on a surroundings map (20) that subdivides the surroundings of the vehicle into a two-dimensional grid (20a) of cells (21). The position of the vehicle in the grid of the surroundings map is determined and updated by odometric data. The distance and the direction of the vehicle (10) relative to those cells (21b) of the grid (20a) having structures that demarcate the pavement and/or the traffic lane are determined. Brightness transitions in the image data are detected and are plotted on the cells (21) of the grid (20a). The course of the traffic lane (22) is determined from the cells with the detected brightness transitions.

  • Publication number: 20150127249
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for creating a current situation depiction, particularly a current city-centre situation depiction, in which environment data and/or map data and/or position data describing a locally bounded situation are sent to a database by a multiplicity of vehicles using vehicle-to-X communication means. The environment data are captured by means of ambient sensors and/or vehicle sensors, the map data are read from a digital memory, and the position data are determined at least by means of a global satellite position system. The method is distinguished in that the environment data and/or the map data and/or the position data are continually merged with a situation depiction that is already present in the database to form a current situation depiction, and both the database and the situation depiction are fixed in location. The invention also relates to an appropriate system.

  • Publication number: 20140240502
Abstract: A device for assisting a driver driving a vehicle or for autonomously driving a vehicle includes several distance sensors (2, 4, 5) and camera sensors (1, 3), an evaluation unit, and a control unit. The distance sensors detect objects that are directly in front of and behind the vehicle. The camera sensors cover an area surrounding the vehicle. From the data of the distance and camera sensors, the evaluation unit determines a three-dimensional representation of the areas covered by the sensors. Taking the three dimensional representation into account, the control unit generates a piece of advice for the driver or intervenes in vehicle steering.
