  • Publication number: 20250108490
Abstract: A machine and a method for setting a screw is provided, wherein the machine comprises a motor and a trigger, includes providing electric current to the motor upon pulling the trigger. A pattern according to which the trigger is pulled may be determined and the motor may be controlled to run in a first mode of operation if the trigger is pulled according to a first pattern or in a second mode of operation if the trigger is pulled according to a second pattern.

  • Publication number: 20250001564
Abstract: A machine and a method for drilling a hole or setting a screw is provided, wherein the machine comprises a motor having a shaft and one or more magnetic coils, providing electric current to the one or more magnetic coils to rotationally drive the shaft, and switching the electric current at a commutation frequency to define a rotational speed of the shaft. A signal may be generated when a force towards the machine applied to the shaft increases and/or a torque applied to the shaft increases and the rotational speed of the motor may be increased to a first rotational speed when the signal is received. The rotational speed may be at least 6,800 RPM and at most 8,500 RPM.

  • Publication number: 20230286118
Abstract: A machine and a method for performing repetitive actions are provided, wherein the machine comprises a motor having a shaft, a switch, and a controller providing electric current to the motor to rotationally drive the shaft, continuously determining a first physical parameter related to a motion of the motor, identifying a change of the first physical parameter, determining a first variable related to the change of the first physical parameter, continuously determining a second physical parameter related to a motion of the motor, identifying a change of the second physical parameter, determining a second variable related to the change of the second physical parameter, and recognizing an occurrence of one of the repetitive actions if the first variable is in a first prescribed range and, at the same time, the second variable is in a second prescribed range.

  • Publication number: 20200224694
Abstract: A fastening element for fastening a layer-type component, in particular an insulation, to a setting object, in particular to a wall or ceiling of a building, having a setting element, in particular a nail or a screw, the fastening element comprising: a shaft, an opening for receiving the setting element, a stop for positively fastening the setting element, and a terminating element for bearing on an outer side of the layer-type component, wherein the shaft and the terminating element are formed in one piece, it is intended for an insulation as a layer-type component to be able to be fastened to the wall or ceiling as setting object with little work effort even if cracking should occur in the fastening element. This object is achieved in that the shaft comprises at least two segments and an intermediate opening is respectively formed between the at least two segments.

  • Patent number: 10391618
Abstract: The invention relates to a pull-out tester (1) for a setting tool used for setting a setting bolt (3), comprising a retaining part (4) for holding the setting bolt (3), an elastic element (7), at least one means (9) for transmitting a pull-out force acting on the setting bolt (3) onto the elastic element (7) such that if a pull-out testing force acting on the setting bolt (3) is exceeded, the connection between the setting bolt (3) and the pull-out tester (1) can be detached due to a deformation of the elastic element (7). The problem addressed by the invention is that of being able to provide a substantially constant pull-out testing force, even in different temperatures and with a different pull-out speed of the pull-out tester (1).
