  • Publication number: 20030025582
Abstract: In an MR tomography apparatus damping laminated sheets are provided for reducing vibrations The MR tomography apparatus has a magnet body which is surrounded by a magnet housing which surrounds and delimits an interior volume. A gradient coil system is located in this interior volume. On an inner side of the magnet housing that delimits the interior volume, a damping laminated sheet structure is provided for absorbing acoustic vibrations which are produced on switching of the gradient coil system.

  • Patent number: 6373241
Abstract: In a sensor device including a magnetic field sensor which is arranged in stationary fashion and configured as a Hall sensor and is magnetically coupled to at least one stationary magnetic flux conductor which senses a variable magnetic field and delivers it to the Hall sensor, the Hall sensor delivering to an electronic control circuit an electrical signal which depends on the change in the magnetic field, in order to achieve a reduction in the space required for the electronic control circuit and the Hall sensors it is proposed the at least one Hall sensor, combined with at least one element of the electronic control circuit into an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), be arranged in an electronic component.

  • Patent number: 6343212
Abstract: A predetermined area is protected from the disturbing usage of mobile terminals (e. g. cell phones) of a wireless communication system. Mode change information is sent over a system information message of a broadcast channel to change the operating mode (e. g. to deactivate) of the mobile terminal. This mode change information contains information, such as, the duration of the mode change, a reason for the mode change and information on groups of mobile terminals that will be exempted from the mode change. Additionally, the mobile terminal transmits an alarm signal to the user if the user is approaching a predetermined protected area.

  • Publication number: 20010041577
Abstract: The present invention relates to a base station (1, 1′) and a method for protecting a predetermined area from disturbing usage of mobile terminals of a wireless telecommunication system. Further, the present invention relates to a mobile terminal (7) the operation mode of which can be changed by mode change information received from a base station (1, 1′) to protect a predetermined area. A predetermined area might be an area, in which at least a high frequency part of the mobile terminals should be switched off automatically to avoid interference with electronic or electric devices, e. g. in hospital or airplanes. In other areas, e. g. restaurants, operas or the like, it is sufficient to reduce the volume of acoustic signals to be output so that other people in the area are not disturbed.
