    Abstract: A method of storing information using DNA molecules is disclosed. The method comprises converting (100) a file of information into a plurality of fragments, wherein the plurality of fragments comprise a plurality of bytes. This plurality of bytes is converted (110) into a plurality of nucleotides using selected ones of a plurality of dictionaries and a file unit is constructed (120, 130, 140) comprising the plurality of nucleotides and an identification of the used ones of the plurality of dictionaries. Finally, a plurality of DNA molecules is synthesized (150) from the constructed file.
