Abstract: Methods and systems for coverage against loss with claim-based contributions involve presenting no premium insurance options through a portal, and determining, after receipt of certain information from the potential insured entity, a cap-based quote. Users are provided coverage terms and a cap-based quote, which is at least partly based on the level of risk of the user. A preferred payment method and payment details are collected from the user for automated electronic payments initiated by a centralized system. Contributions by insured entities are based on the actual amount to be paid for valid claims in a month (or other time period) and the insured entities' risk profiles (and certain other parameters), and may be zero for the month if there are no claims. The claim-based contributions are automatically collected from the insured entities. Insured entities who have submitted valid claims will receive compensation based on contributions of other insured entities.
