  • Publication number: 20120003997
Abstract: The object of the invention is a system, a device, a terminal and a method for filtering electronic information to be transferred to the terminal through a telecommunication connection. The invention comprises attaching a specific filtering parameter (30-32) by the device transferring the electronic information to the electronic information for the purpose of filtering before the electronic information is transferred to the terminal through the telecommunication connection, and informing the terminal of said filtering parameter (30-32) before the electronic information is transferred to the terminal through the telecommunication connection. In the terminal, the steps comprise checking said informed filtering parameter (30-32) and allowing or preventing the receiving of the electronic information on the basis of said filtering parameter (30-32).

  • Publication number: 20050111041
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for printing an electronic presentation, wherein the method comprises steps for forming at least one printable output from said electronic presentation that comprises multiple events, by defining a temporal aspect of said events, whereby the printable output is formed based on said temporal aspect. The electronic presentation can be e.g. in the form of the multimedia message comprising different media elements, for example text, image, video, audio etc. The invention also relates to a system for printing such an electronic presentation and to a device for producing such a printable output. In addition the invention relates to a device module and to a computer program product. Invention also relates to a method for delivering a printed electronic message to a recipient.

  • Publication number: 20030078890
Abstract: An apparatus and method for delivering multimedia content within the mobile world is provided. One embodiment is based on the definition of a smart content object, or content package format, along with provision for specifying meta-information about the digital rights associated with the content. The format is defined in terms of two alternative MIME content subtypes. The first is defined for delivering clear-text, XML representation of the content package. The other is defined for deliverying binary, WBXML representation of the content package. The clear-text MIME type is useful in robust network environments that are not sensitive to limitations, such as were bandwidth can be a limiting factor on application deployment (e.g., the mobile world).

  • Publication number: 20030028597
Abstract: A data structure defining two-level identification allows the integration of mobile instant messaging to Internet based instant messaging, for instance, by providing an identification of both a user of the IM system (IM user) and an IM client used to access an IM system (IM client). The client may be a hardware device, software, or a combination thereof. A method, a terminal device with the client installed, a server and a system are shown for communicating such identification information between the terminal device and the server with a primitive having such two-level identification contained in information elements.

  • Publication number: 20010040900
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for presenting information contained in messages in a terminal (MS). In the method, the message comprises at least one component. The message is transmitted to a terminal (MS) in a system for transmitting multimedia messages. In the method, a presentation model (SMIL) is formed to contain information related to the presentation of each component attached in the message. Said presentation model (SMIL) is supplemented with a reference about the location of each component in the message, and said presentation model (SMIL) is attached to said message.

  • Patent number: 5790629
Abstract: An apparatus for making X-ray images includes an X-ray source which is controlled by an X-ray source control. A luminescent screen provides a visible image based upon X-rays transmitted by the X-ray source. A CCD camera receives and stores the visible image. Imaging optics including a mirror reflect the visible image to the camera without splitting the visible image into parts. A photosensor is in optical communication with the luminescent screen and is separate from the CCD camera. The photosensor is positioned such that an illumination power of the luminescent screen falls on the photosensor practically from within an area of an entire portion of the visible image. A computer and control connectable to the X-ray source control for adjusting exposure of the apparatus is connected to the photosensor.
