  • Patent number: 8414769
Abstract: A disc filter includes several triangular sectors that are connected from their neck section to the body of the disc filter. The sectors form a relatively thin disc that is rotated during filtration in a basin that contains a suspension to be filtered. The side surfaces of the sector have openings through which liquid in the suspension passes into several essentially radial flow channels inside the sector to flow on to the neck section and away from the sector. A separating wall is formed between two adjacent radial flow channels. Furthermore, the sector is made of two side elements, which are of plastic material and the mating surfaces of which are placed against each other.

  • Publication number: 20020153296
Abstract: A fastening strip for fastening a filter cloth against the filter surface of a solid-liquid separator. The solid-liquid separator comprises at least one filter element provided with a fastening groove for the fastening strip. The filter cloth is fastened to the filter element by means of the fastening strip, whose fastening portion is inserted into the fastening groove. The fastening strip is an elongated piece having a substantially T-shaped cross section and comprising a fastening portion and a support portion transverse to the fastening portion. The support portion provides a protective edging that extends to a distance from the edges of the fastening groove.

  • Patent number: 5084174
Abstract: A filter bag (1) for a disc-like filter, comprising filter surfaces (2) to be positioned on both sides of a filter element. The filter element is inserted into the filter bag, and the filter bag is heated so that the heated portion shrinks, thus tightening the filter bag around the filter element. The filter bag (1) is so shaped that the filter parts (2) to be positioned on both sides of the filter element are substantially of the same shape and size as the required filter surfaces. An edge part (3) of a material substantially impermeable to liquid and shrinkable at elevated temperature is attached to the edges of the filter parts.

  • Patent number: 4435457
Abstract: A seamed non-woven fabric consisting of at least two thermoplastic non-woven fabric strips (1, 2) positioned side by side in the same plane, said strips of fabric being joined together at their opposite longitudinal edges by means of a melt seam. The edges of the strips to be joined together have been melt-shrunk into such a thickness that the thickness of the seam (4) formed by the joined edge portions (1b, 2b) of the strips does not exceed the thickness of the other portions of the strips. The strips of fabric are, at least at the edges to be joined together, provided with reinforcement yarns (3) parallel to said edges, the melting point of said yarns being higher than the melting temperature used during the melt-seaming. The reinforcement yarns provide in the seam a high strength in the longitudinal direction in spite of the melting of the edge portions of the strips.
