  • Patent number: 7900330
Abstract: A device has two units placed one on top of the other, each unit comprising a first side frame (101), a second side frame (102) spaced from the first side frame, and a band (130) running between the side frames (101, 102). Each unit (100, 200) has a pressure chamber (300) attached to the side frames (101, 102) and positioned in a sealed manner against the inner surface of the band (130).

  • Patent number: 7429310
Abstract: A paper or board machine has a fabric (10) that is adapted mobile as well as rolls (11, 11?) arranged to support the fabric (10). The fabric (10) is tensioned by changing the position of one roll (11?) of the rolls (11, 11?). Correspondingly, the fabric (10) is guided by changing the alignment of one roll (11?) of the said rolls (11, 11?). Surprisingly the fabric (10) is both tensioned and guided by changing the alignment and position of only one and the same roll (11?). In addition, the wrap angle of the fabric (10) at this roll (11?) is set higher than 30°.

  • Patent number: 7350627
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety device arrangement for an elevator door opening, said safety device arrangement comprising at least a toe guard (3) placed substantially at the lower edge of the elevator car and a safety circuit (21) connected to the elevator system. The safety device arrangement comprises a safety circuit switch (16) placed on the toe guard (3) and a bypass switch (17) connected to the safety circuit (21), said bypass switch being fitted to bypass the safety circuit switch (16) at least when the elevator is at or close to the lowest landing floor.

  • Patent number: 6351896
Abstract: A method and apparatus for drying a fiber web, in which the fiber web is dried between two tight bands moving in the same direction and turning around turning rolls. The first band is heated and the second band is cooled by a cooling chamber. The cooling chamber includes at least one cooling element and the cooling element includes at least one inlet chamber and at least one outlet chamber. The fiber web is arranged to run through a drying zone, with at least one felt or wire, such that the fiber web is in contact with the surface of the first, heated band and the felt or wire is between the fiber web and the second, cooled band. The pressure of the cooling element is balanced by a pressure balancing means, and the second band is provided with a hydraulic bearing for allowing the band to slide evenly and with little friction on the cooling chamber.

  • Patent number: 6263589
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of drying a fiber web and an arrangement in a fiber web drying apparatus, the fiber web being dried between two tight bands that move in parallel in the same direction and turn around turning rolls. The first band is heated and the second band is cooled. The fiber web is guided through a drying zone, defined by the bands, with at least one felt or wire, so that the fiber web comes into contact with the surface of the first, heated band and the felt or wire is between the fiber web and the second, cooled band. The position of the edge of the band is measured by means of a sliding block which is brought into contact with the edge of the band, the material of the sliding block being substantially harder than that of the band.

  • Patent number: 4435457
Abstract: A seamed non-woven fabric consisting of at least two thermoplastic non-woven fabric strips (1, 2) positioned side by side in the same plane, said strips of fabric being joined together at their opposite longitudinal edges by means of a melt seam. The edges of the strips to be joined together have been melt-shrunk into such a thickness that the thickness of the seam (4) formed by the joined edge portions (1b, 2b) of the strips does not exceed the thickness of the other portions of the strips. The strips of fabric are, at least at the edges to be joined together, provided with reinforcement yarns (3) parallel to said edges, the melting point of said yarns being higher than the melting temperature used during the melt-seaming. The reinforcement yarns provide in the seam a high strength in the longitudinal direction in spite of the melting of the edge portions of the strips.
