  • Publication number: 20230191349
Abstract: A system for producing catalytically treated pyrolytic vapor. The system comprises a pyrolysis reactor (100) configured to produce pyrolytic vapor and a catalytic reactor (200) limiting abed area (B) into which a fluidized catalyst bed is configured to form in use. The catalytic reactor (200) comprises a static mixer (300) configured to spread the particulate catalyst within the bed area (B). Thus, the catalytic reactor (200) is configured to produce a mixture of the particulate catalyst and the catalytically treated pyrolytic vapor from the pyrolytic vapor. A method for producing catalytically treated pyrolytic vapor. The method comprises producing pyrolytic vapor and allowing at least a clean part of the pyrolytic vapor to chemically react in the presence of the particulate catalyst to produce a mixture of the particulate catalyst and catalytically treated pyrolytic vapor. The method comprises mixing, in the bed area, the pyrolytic vapor and the particulate catalyst with a static mixer.

  • Publication number: 20070295249
Abstract: A method for reducing nitrogen oxides of a recovery boiler, and a recovery boiler, where the furnace of the recovery boiler is supplied with primary air from primary air nozzles, black liquor from liquor nozzles, secondary air from secondary air nozzles above the primary air nozzles but still below the liquor nozzles, tertiary air from tertiary air nozzles above the liquor nozzles, and quaternary air from quaternary air nozzles above the tertiary air nozzles. Black liquor is supplied to the furnace from first liquor nozzles and second liquor nozzles, which liquor nozzles are arranged substantially on the same level with respect to the height of the furnace, and the droplet size of liquor fed from the second liquor nozzles is substantially smaller than the droplet size of liquor fed from the first liquor nozzles.

  • Patent number: 6230664
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for supplying air to a fluidized bed boiler are disclosed. In the method, the air is supplied from all comers of the fluidized bed boiler substantially parallel to two opposite walls and from the middle of said walls toward the center of the fluidized bed boiler whereby the air flows cause the formation of four vortexes in the fluidized bed boiler. The arrangement comprises nozzles that blow air jets towards each other parallel to the opposite walls of the fluidized bed boiler and nozzles in the middle of the walls arranged to blow air toward the center of the fluidized bed boiler.

  • Patent number: 6006683
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for supplying air to a recovery boiler. In the method, the air is supplied to the recovery boiler at at least one air supply level so that four vortices are formed therein, the vortices spinning, in pairs, in opposite directions to one another so that any two adjacent vortices always spin in opposite directions to one another. The arrangement comprises nozzles that are arranged to blow air so that four vortices are formed in the recovery boiler, any two adjacent vortices always spinning in opposite directions to one another.
