    Abstract: Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE) to transmit uplink (UL) data in a wireless network based on carrier aggregation (CA). Such methods include determining active UL bandwidth parts (BWPs) associated with at least two component carriers (CCs) within a frequency band; and determining at least one UL transmit direct current (TX DC) location for the active UL BWPs. Such methods also include selectively sending an indication of the at least one UL TX DC location to the wireless network. In some cases, such methods include transmitting, to the wireless network via the active UL BWPs, data arranged in at least one OFDM symbol having the respective at least one UL TX DC location. Other embodiments include complementary methods for a wireless network (e.g., one or more network nodes), as well as UEs and wireless networks configured to perform such methods.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that relate to Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) partitioning for feature signaling. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises receiving, from a network node, information that indicates mappings between a plurality of PRACH resources and a plurality of sets of features. The method further comprises selecting a PRACH resource from among the plurality of PRACH resources, the selected PRACH resource being mapped to one of the plurality of sets of features that the wireless communication device desires to indicate to the network node. The method further comprises transmitting a PRACH preamble using the selected PRACH resource. In this manner, signaling of features can be done in a manner that is radio resource efficient, backwards compatible, and future compatible.

    Abstract: A network node obtains a message to be transmitted as a public warning system notification to multiple UEs, via one or more SIBs, and obtains area information corresponding to the message. The area information indicates an area for which the message is relevant. The network node determines how many SIBs are needed for transmitting the area information and segments the message into a plurality of segments, based on how many SIBs are needed for transmitting the area information. The network node transmits the message and the area information via SIBs, such that a segment of the message is included in each SIB and such that each portion of the area information included in a SIB is accompanied by a segment of the message. A UE receives the SIBs and assembles the message and area information, displaying the message if it is relevant.
