Publication number: 20240114050Abstract: A method and system provide computer system security for a focus computer system (FCS). The method comprises creating a security digital twin (SDT) for the FCS with an associated security ontology for the FCS. A potential threat analyzer receives a potential threat object (PTO), and maps it to an enterprise attack vector pattern. The method further comprises searching, on another computer system (OCS) for a predicted attack pattern having a similar pattern to the enterprise attack vector pattern. Conditioned upon finding the predicted attack pattern, and using a potential threat handler locating an action mitigation plan (AMP) related to the predicted attack pattern in the data fabric associated with the OCS, the method further comprises copying the OCS predicted attack pattern to an FCS predicted attack pattern store, copying the OCS AMP to an FCS AMP store, and defending the FCS from the PTO using the AMP.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2022Publication date: April 4, 2024Inventors: Sudheesh S. Patent number: 11501660Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product for providing spatial weather map data to the visually impaired are provided. The embodiments may include receiving a weather map image that contains weather information and a subject of interest, wherein the subject of interest comprises a user current location, a business location, or an asset location. The embodiments may also include receiving a request from a user for current time, historical or forecast data depicted in the weather map and a request for a geo-location of the subject of interest. The embodiments may further include generating sounds corresponding with the requested weather map data, wherein the generated sounds appear to the user to originate in a particular direction and at a particular distance from the subject of interest, wherein the apparent location of the sounds correspond with a weather map feature including the location of approaching or surrounding weather.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2020Date of Patent: November 15, 2022Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Jessika Ann Welch, Maureen Kraft

Patent number: 11118957Abstract: A system and method for performing liquid volume determination in a smart environment, the method comprising involve determining that a liquid is being poured. The method includes identifying the liquid, and determining the liquid volume of the liquid being poured based on sound analysis of audio sensed by a microphone. A scenario in which the liquid is being poured is analyzed, and an action is determined based on the scenario. The action includes triggering an actuator of the smart environment, obtaining additional information about the liquid, or issuing an alert.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2018Date of Patent: September 14, 2021Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Brent Shiver, Susann Marie Keohane, Fang Lu, Maureen Kraft

Patent number: 10831568Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product for an electronic alarm management system. The method may include detecting a trigger event that causes a user device to be shut down. The method may include determining whether there is an event for a user of the user device that is scheduled to occur within a first time period closely following a time of the trigger event. In response to determining that there is an event occurring within the time period closely following the time of the trigger event, the method may include determining whether the event is associated with an importance score that exceeds a threshold. The event that has the importance score exceeding the threshold is deemed a critical event. The method may include generating and displaying a notification on the user device reminding the user of the critical event.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2019Date of Patent: November 10, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Eliza Farley, Maureen Kraft, Alexander Rice, Fang Lu

Patent number: 10585936Abstract: Textual content is analyzed to determine a tone of the content. A first color palette including a first plurality of colors is computed. The first plurality of colors corresponds to the tone. A first color of the first plurality of colors is selected, and a second color palette including a second plurality of colors is computed. The second plurality of colors corresponds to the first plurality of colors and satisfies a predetermined color-related accessibility requirement between the first selected color and each of the second plurality of colors. A second color of the second plurality of colors is selected, and the content is modified using the first selected color and the second selected color.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2017Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Maureen Kraft, Fang Lu, Charu Pandhi
