  • Publication number: 20120272876
Abstract: A burner using biomass combustibles, namely pellet fuel, for a maple syrup evaporator. Compared to wood or oil burning heat sources, pellet fuel is less costly, burns more efficiently and generates the heat necessary to properly evaporate maple sap. The burner includes a burn pit defining a plurality of holes for allowing air to communicate between a combustion chamber and a primary air plenum formed between a base and an underside of the burn pit. An air supply conduit supplies air supply to the primary air plenum. A fuel conduit in communication with the combustion chamber supplies the pellet fuel for combustion within said burn pit. A secondary plenum in pneumatic communication with the primary air plenum receives and cools a portion of the primary air supply. A plurality of injectors in communication with the secondary plenum inject the cooled air into the combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 5582296
Abstract: A stackable tray comprising a body formed of rigid plastics material and consisting of a bottom wall integrally formed with opposite side walls and opposite front and rear walls; the front wall, at least, defines an access area to allow removal of articles from the bottom wall when the tray is in a superposed stacked relationship with similarly constructed trays; the front wall has an upper edge defining an enclosed tubular section extending from side wall to side wall to reinforce the tray when in a stacked relationship with similarly constructed trays and to counteract sagging of the bottom wall due to weight of articles placed thereon.

  • Patent number: 5372257
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes a stackable tray which is formed of a body of rigid plastic material with a bottom wall integrally formed with opposite side walls and front and rear walls; each side wall is provided with an upper edge flange which is engageable in a recessed area defined in the lower edge of a superposed similarly constructed tray. The location of the recessed area with respect to the upper edge flange is such as to force outwardly the side walls during stacking engagement thus causing internal stresses in the bottom wall which counteract the sagging which occurs when loads are supported on the bottom wall.

  • Patent number: 5360112
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes a device for use with pallets supporting stacked bottles; it comprises a rectangular panel with a top face adapted to bear against part of a pallet undersurface and a bottom face adapted to sit on top of a number of the stacked bottles. The bottom face displays a series of recesses arranged in rows and columns to rest on the tops of the bottles; a number of these recesses include a contiguous cylindrical wall to define an inverted cup-shaped extension in which are received the top portion of the bottles to thereby secure the panel to the bottles on which it sits.
