    Abstract: Phosphors are coated and deaggregated by treatment with ultrasonic energy during the coating step. The phosphor aqueous dispersion is continuously passed through an ultrasonic chamber at a rate of flow so as to prevent aggregated phosphor particles from settling out and avoiding deaggregation.

    Abstract: High density information discs, such as video discs, which have been treated with an ammonium salt become resistant to and stable under conditions of high relative humidity, even after repeated exposure to such conditions for extended periods of time. The treatment with the ammonium salt is accomplished by use of a bath of an aqueous solution of the ammonium salt, with the preferred ammonium salt being ammonium chloride.
