Abstract: A woven strip comprising an asymmetrical weave of weft and warp yarns having symmetrical re-weaving zones extending from opposite ends thereof, in which the end warp yarns form a loop to accommodate a restraining rod. The woven strips provide fabrics for use in paper making machines and have the advantage of avoiding excess pressure during operation of the machine thereby reducing marking of the paper and wearing of the strips.

Abstract: Procedure to form a non-woven cloth (6) made of synthetic filaments (5) in which synthetic filaments (5) are extruded, stretched, cooled, and projected onto a moving plastic fabric (1), which is characterized by cleaning the plastic fabric (1) by passing a hot liquid fluid at high speed over the point t.sub.2 of the filaments (5) and the melting point t.sub.1 of the fabric (1), the melting point of the latter being at least 80.degree. C. above that of the filaments (5).As an example, the fabric can be of polyetheretherketone yarns or of polyphenylene sulfide yarns.Easy installation of the fabric and possibility to clean it and therefore increase its life.

Abstract: The invention concerns the fastening together of the ends of a belt. The sing of the fastener of a belt having fastening elements at each end is effected by means of two connecting straps fixed along each end and each comprising a guide ramp, a slide part having two grooves corresponding to the guide ramps and constituted by two parts separated by a space ensuring the progressive bringing together of the ends and the interlocking of the loops; a wire is inserted in the channel(s) defined by the interlocked loops in order to close the fastener. The invention applies to felt for paper-making and to conveyor belts in general.
