  • Patent number: 6402368
Abstract: The watch provided with a tourbillon includes a regulating device (2) engaging with an escapement (3) which itself engages with a gear train (4) meshing with a fixed wheel (5). The regulating device, the escapement and the gear train are mounted on a plate (6) fixed to a pipe (7) rotatably mounted in a support plate (8, 46), this pipe being situated at the center of the watch and driven in rotation by a spring driven device (9). Preferably, the pipe (7) surrounds a cannon pinion (11) carrying a minutes hand (12), this cannon wheel in turn surrounding a shaft (13) carrying an hours hand (14). The shaft (13) and the cannon pinion (11) are connected by a motion work (15) which is situated underneath the plate.

  • Patent number: 5608694
Abstract: A mechanical timepiece comprising a barrel meshing with a tourbillon, this timepiece being characterised in that the tourbillon is supported by its base solely by a bearing whose external ring comprises a toothing which acts as a fixed wheel for driving a satellite pinion of an escapement of the tourbillon.

  • Patent number: 5226023
Abstract: The invention concerns a timepiece movement having a baseplate (20), a motor (22), an oscillating system (24), driving elements (26, 27) intended to drive indicating elements (16, 18), a gear train (28) having at least one wheel coupling the driving elements (26, 27) to the motor (22), the motion of the gear train being regulated by the oscillating system (24), the timepiece movement being characterized in that it further includes a support element (50) for at least one of the elements other than the baseplate constituting the movement, the support element (50) being driven in rotation in the vicinity of the edge of the baseplate by a wheel (48) of the gear train.

  • Patent number: 4500213
Abstract: The watch has a winding weight comprising an arm 10a and an oscillating mass 10b. The arm is mounted for pivotal movement about the axis of a toothed ring 12 by way of which the spring barrel 20 is kept wound and which axis is offset with respect to the watch hand axis X, X'. The oscillating mass 10a is at the same level relative to the case back 6 as the spring barrel 20. The length L' of the winding weight is greater than the offset L and more than half the largest dimension of the case 6. The oscillating mass 10b thus occupies substantially half the casing of the watch and is almost as thick as the distance between the glass and the back 6 which is also the rear plate of the movement.

  • Patent number: 4367050
Abstract: Extra-flat electromechanical watch, in which the dial is situated substantially at mid-height of the watch. The elements of the movement are situated, in a radial direction, beyond the space of the passage of the hands (26) and, in elevation, partially at the level of the passage of the hands. This arrangement permits the realization of a watch the thickness of which is about 2 mm, for example.

  • Patent number: 4237548
Abstract: Electronic timepiece having an electro-optic passive display cell comprising an oscillator used as a time base and an electronic control circuit of its several functions. The electronic circuit is operable by means of a stationary key or switch, having a capacitive action, carried by the glass or crystal of the timepiece. The stationary key is fed by the oscillator through a fixed or non-variable condenser. A conductive element is interposed between the stationary key and the display cell, the conductive element constituting one of the electrodes of the fixed condenser. The purpose of this arrangement is to eliminate the influence of a parasitic condenser constituted by the electrodes of the display cell and the electrode of the stationary key.

  • Patent number: 4138195
Abstract: An electro-optic display device uses a transparent luminescent panel to reflect and diffuse ambient light, or light from the luminescent panel to a display cell to enable a user to read the display cell. The luminescent panel includes a first transparent electrode arranged between the display cell and a luminescent film. The panel further includes an activation electrode on the opposite side of the film from the first electrode. The activation electrode acts as a reflector - diffuser to reflect and diffuse light received through the other parts of the panel or from the luminescent film itself back to the display cell.
