Abstract: A plastic pallet (10) includes two identical decks (12, 120) that are interconnected by identical connectors (14). Each connector includes a central core (20) and a surrounding sleeve (44) interconnected by spokes (46). The core has flexible tangs (28) that extend beyond opposite ends of the sleeve and lock onto the deck. Each deck includes a plurality of respective segments (130) consisting of a pair of open shells (132, 134) and the periphery of each deck is reinforced by respective segments (182) that are internally reinforced by gussets (192, 194).

Abstract: A unitary top frame device adapted for use with palletized goods is disclosed that is light in weight, durable, reversible, easy to manufacture and has a minimum number of parts is disclosed. The frame (10) has a substantially flat first surface (11) and a second surface (12) with a reinforcement structure projecting outwardly therefrom and includes a pair of side members (13), a pair of end members (14), a first cross member (15) a second cross member (15). The reinforcement structure of each of the members (13,14,15,16) includes a plurality of longitudinal ribs (21) and transverse ribs (22). Interposed between each of the members (13,14,15,16) is reinforcement element, being either a center (31), corner (32) first intermediate (33) or a second intermediate (34) reinforcement element. Each side member (13) and each end member (14) further includes a strap slot (61) for receiving a strap member (S).

Abstract: A unit load assembly for spools (10) that can be assembled and disassembled easily and frequently is disclosed. A spool member (50) can be securely strapped (70) between two pallet assemblies (10). Each pallet assembly (10) is constructed of a pair of substantially identical frame members (11) releasably interconnected to one another by a plurality of internal coupling members (30,40). Each frame (11) includes a plurality of openings (17A, 17B) for cooperating with the internal coupling members (30,40) and a central aperture (16) for receiving a portion of the spool member (50). Each frame (11) also has perimeter side support means (15,15A) and internal support means (24,25,26) for supporting the load placed upon the assembled unit load assembly (10).
