  • Patent number: 5297112
Abstract: A double faced watch has a movement driving a first gearing actuating a first hands array cooperating with a first dial and a second dial 31 on its opposed face cooperating with a second hands array 32, 33', 43. An automatic winding mass 19 is pivoted concentrically to the two hands arrays by a bail bearing the internal housing of which is fastened on a sleeve giving passage to an axle 7, 7', carrying one hand of the first hands array. This axle 7, 7' is used as a driver for the driving of the second hands array. A time setting stem 55 is axially slidable between two positions, in one of which its rotation sets one of the hands arrays and in the other of which its rotation sets the other hands array. A tilting member 62 (FIG. 6) ensures that the setting stem 55 slides in the opposite direction from a sliding pinion 47 so that the stem 55 and pinion 47 are alternately in driving relation with one or the other of the drive trains of the two hands arrays.

  • Patent number: 4798598
Abstract: A catheter guide which comprises a head (3) formed by a coil spring (4) presenting a central zone (6) where the coils of this spring are spaced, the free end of this head (3) being obturated. A tubular element (2) connects this head to a control housing (1) to which it is fixed in a removable way. A control device (14,15) of the bending of the head (3) comprises a control member (14) sliding in the housing (1) connected by a traction member (15) to an excentered point on the free end of the head (3). A cutting device (17 to 21) of the traction member (15) is located in the housing (1). The tubular element (2) is constituted by a coil spring (4) having abutting coils covered by a tight coating (9) in plastic material.

  • Patent number: 4787399
Abstract: The invention relates to a remote controlled catheter guide provided with a micro-balloon which comprises a head formed of a coil spring (4) mounted at the end (2) of a tube (1). When pulling on a flexible traction member (7) fastened to an eccentric point inside the end of the head, this head can be curved at will. The remote controlled catheter guide with micro-balloon is thus constituted of the assembly of elements forming a channel through which it is possible to locate the flexible traction (8) which is inflatable through its feeding duct (9) it is possible to carry out the pre-dilatation of stenosis so that afterwords a conventional catheter can be slid in place over the catheter-guide.

  • Patent number: 4734093
Abstract: A remote controlled catheter with micro-balloon, having a head constituted by a cylindrical coil spring (2) having separated coils covered by a micro-balloon (10) and mounted coaxially at the end of a tube (1). The spring can be bent at will in order to facilitate its introduction along arteries. The user pulls on the rear of a flexible pulling member (5) the forward end of which is fastened to the upper part of the head eccentrically of the axis of the head, this element (5) passing within the tube (1). To inflate the balloon (10), fluid is introduced through a channel (11), through the tube (1), the base of the balloon (10) being fixed to the tube (1) in a sealed manner.

  • Patent number: 4732163
Abstract: A remote controlled guide for a catheter, characterized by the fact that its end called the head which is formed of a cylindrical coil spring (2) having separated coils is mounted coaxially at the end of a tube (1) and can be bent at will so as to facilitate its introduction and then its passage through the blood vessels. To do that, the user acts axially on the rear end of a flexible pulling member (5) the other end of which is fastened to the upper portion of the head at a point which is eccentric with the axis of said latter, this flexible pulling member (5) passing through the tube (1). Furthermore, and in order to inject at the level of the head a contrast liquid inside the blood vessel, the rear end of the tube (1) is removably fixed in a tight manner onto a frame member (6) provided with a lateral channel (17) communicating with the tube (1), the liquid being able to escape through the coils of the spring (2).

  • Patent number: 4650467
Abstract: The present invention is a remote control catheter designed principally for cardio-vascular surgery, characterized by the fact that it permits its user to directly control, starting from the handle of the instrument, the orientation of its head by means of a control wire (31) attached to the extremity of the head of the catheter while at the same time being eccentric with respect to the axis of this latter on the one hand, and to the extremity of the traction pinion (34) placed at the interior of the handle on the other hand, this latter being displaceable in the direction of its axis and consequently to pull or release the control wire (31) while the user exerts a rotary movement to the control collar (37) driving through its interior teeth the intermediate pinion (36) this latter meshing at its exterior in the tooth (35) of the traction pinion (34) which similarly has a male screw threading (38) cooperating with a female screw threading (39) fixed with respect to the handle.
