Abstract: This present invention relates to a novel facemask with an adjustable securement system that is designed to cover a wearer's face, nose, and chin comfortably, and hang from the neck when not in use. The facemask system utilizes a unique combination of face covering tunnels, a single elastic cord and a cord lock to form one or two loops for securing the system around the wearer's head, and eliminates the issues and discomfort associated with typical facemask ear loops. In a further embodiment of the invention, the face covering portion of the novel facemask with an adjustable securement system is further comprised of an interior pocket for holding a replaceable scented or unscented air filter that increases the overall filtering efficiency of the system.
