    Abstract: A form grinding machine in which the grinding wheel is fed into a workpiece by a hydraulic creep feed control circuit. The workpiece is rotated at a very slow speed while being ground completely around its circumference. The hydraulic circuit includes a torque limiting dump valve, and the workpiece rotation is controlled by a torque limiting slipping clutch mechanism to prevent overloading when the grinding wheel has been completely fed in and the workpiece is still rotating.
