  • Patent number: 5480321
Abstract: A socket which can be manipulated under remote control includes a plug insertion guide fork. One branch of the fork has an extension provided with an angular polarizer arrangement. This is a slot having a width allowing a cranked back part of the plug to pass through it. The socket is used in a plug-socket system in which when the plug is mounted on the socket the extension forms a mechanical support for at least part of the body of the plug.

  • Patent number: 5439392
Abstract: A penetrator assembly connector sleeve has a hollow cylindrical part carrying seals on its outside surface and a closed first end. It defines a housing for an extension of a cylindrical first connector having a peripheral seal on a diameter substantially equal to that of the outside surface. A penetrator assembly connection system comprises a first connector with a peripheral seal having a front edge including an extension disposed in the housing of a sleeve of the above kind. The sleeve contacts the front edge of the first connector at a second end of the cylindrical part opposite the first end so that when the system is disposed so that the closed end of the sleeve contacts a rear edge of a second connector with a peripheral seal disposed in a penetrator assembly one of the first and second connectors can be replaced by the other by movement in translation without compromising the seal.
