Patents by Inventor Maurice Trouve

Maurice Trouve has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 5851642
Abstract: A method for coating a substrate, preferably of glass, with a pyrolyzed transparent, electroconductive layer. The coating is comprised of indium formate, optionally mixed with a powdered or gaseous tin compound or a gaseous organotin compound. The coating layer is deposited upon a hot substrate whereupon it pyrolytically decomposes, forming a layer which is subsequently heat treated in a reducing or an oxidizing atmosphere to optionally enhance the low emissivity and low resistivity of the coating or reduce said low emissivity and low resistivity properties.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 10, 1989
Date of Patent: December 22, 1998
    Assignee: Saint-Gobain Vitrage
Inventors: Vincent Sauvinet, Jean Bletry, Micheline Bonnaud, Maurice Trouve
  • Patent number: 5786289
Abstract: A window glass comprising at least one sheet of glass coated with an electroconductive ITO layer, pyrolyzed from powdered components, combined with a flexible plastic material of the PVB, PU, PVC type, with an index approaching more the index of the ITO layer than the index of air, with which the said layer is coated, and a sheet of glass dyed in the mass, with the same color as the ITO layer, and with properties of reduced energy transmission also entering advantageously into the composition of the window glass is provided. The invention particularly applies to the production of heated windshields for automobiles.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 7, 1994
Date of Patent: July 28, 1998
    Assignee: Saint Gobain Vitrage
Inventors: Helene Harmand, Vincent Sauvinet, Maurice Trouve

  • Patent number: 5387433
Abstract: The present invention relates to a product containing a glass substrate and a transparent conductive layer made of sub-stoichiometric metallic oxide coated with a metallic oxide overlayer protecting the conductive layer from oxidation. The indices of refraction of the two layers and the geometric thickness of the overlayer may be selected so as to offer a product which has a neutral color under reflection. The invention also concerns processes for obtaining said product.

  • Patent number: 5244692
Abstract: A process consisting of forming, by pyrolysis of powders on glass heated to a high temperature, a layer of aluminum oxide and of at least one zinc, indium, tin, or titanium oxide, using a mixture of powders formed from an organometallic aluminum derivative containing at least one alcoholate function and one .beta.-diketone function, and at least one organometallic tin, indium, zinc, and titanium compound, and windows incorporating this oxide-coated glass having a conductive layer and a neutral color under reflection.
