  • Patent number: 11216211
Abstract: Technology is described for controlling different types of physical devices in a device farm hosted in a service provider environment. A removable storage slot adapter may be physically inserted into a removable storage slot of a physical device. The removable storage slot adapter may present an emulated removable storage device using a removable storage configuration obtained over a network from a management service hosted by the service provider environment. The removable storage slot adapter may interpret commands from the device to access data blocks of the emulated removable storage device. The removable storage slot adapter may access a storage service hosted by the service provider environment to fulfill the commands and data access operations requested from the device.

  • Patent number: 10848994
Abstract: A remote proximity bridge service receives respective specifications that indicate a respective proximity communication protocol (e.g., Wi-Fi, serial port, etc.) to be used by devices of a client-specified network. The service may then select different test devices to be used for testing the client-specified network, such that the selected test devices are capable of using the proximity protocol. The test devices may also be configured based on the specifications. A test device may communicate with another test device using bridge devices. The test device transmits a signal to a first bridge device according to a proximity protocol. The first bridge device converts the signal into a network protocol message and transmits the message to a second bridge device. The second bridge device converts the message into a signal and transmits the signal to the other test device. Performance results of the test devices may be transmitted to a client network.

  • Publication number: 20170130283
Abstract: A process for preserving raw/fresh hides and skins is disclosed. In one embodiment, the hides and skins are treated with an antimicrobial composition containing a carbonate and/or bicarbonate salt of a quaternary ammonium cation. Alternatively, the antimicrobial composition contains a halide salt of a quaternary ammonium cation in combination with a second antimicrobial agent which may comprise a polyhexamethylene biguanide. The compositions are capable of preventing microbial degradation of the raw skins and hides for significant periods of time, such as greater than 48 hours.

  • Patent number: 8901203
Abstract: The present invention relates to a stable pyrithione salt polyol dispersion containing a pyrithione salt(s) in particulate form, a polyol and a stabilizer such as a rheological additive. The dispersion can be incorporated into existing polyurethane formulations without additional formula adjustment. Polyurethane foams produced from the composition containing pyrithione salt polyol dispersion of the present invention have more open cell structures, than those produced with a typical commercially available pyrithione salt thus providing a soft comfortable feeling.

  • Patent number: 8859743
Abstract: The control of the microbial contamination during the sugar fermentation in the processes for obtaining alcohol is a very important action to increase the productivity of the alcoholic fermentation processes. The Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast cells engage a very tough nutritional competition for the sugarcane juice with the bacteria (Lactobacillus sp and Acetobacter) and the wild yeasts. The proposed composition uses an antimicrobial agent of the guanidine family, such as for example, poly(hexamethyl biguanide), an antibiotic agent, and also a surfactant agent, to prevent the undesired microbial growth. The present invention further refers to the process for controlling the microbial contamination through the use of said agents.

  • Patent number: 8806887
Abstract: A new constructive arrangement inserted into a condensing unit provided with bidirectional flow, thus allowing the flow of the machine to be disposed either vertically or horizontally, according to the required application having a base to which an ā€œLā€ shaped condensing coil is attached, and further receiving a compressor in the center thereof and a side panel on the side thereof, for receiving a structural ā€œLā€ shaped air scoop, provided with a motor fan on one of the faces thereof that allows the assembly to be closed with said fan being positioned either vertically or horizontally.

  • Patent number: 5781862
Abstract: In a method for controlling functions for a change of radio area of communications terminal devices, in a program module structure of a subscriber module of wireless communications systems, a higher priority is allocated to the program modules for processing of the radio area change process than to the program modules for processing the communications protocols and to the program modules for switching. The program modules are processed according to their priority. Through the preferential treatment of the handover process, the system resources, in particular the processing resources, are concentrated on the handover process. In the context of the total load capacity of the subscriber module of the wireless communications system, the communications connection during a handover process is thus maintained with high reliability by effecting a rapid changeover to the new communications path, whereby disturbances are also avoided by means of the rapid changeover.
