Abstract: An unreeling assembly, particularly for labeling devices, comprising a supporting frame for at least one reel of continuous film which is supported by a respective reel support, which can rotate about an unreeling axis of the reel, and a motorized traction drum, which is designed to unreel the continuous film from the reel of continuous film, between the reel of continuous film and the traction drum there being at least one tensioning element, which is movable, with respect to the supporting frame, along a respective movement path, elements being provided for estimating the radius of the reel of continuous film as a function of the data related to the angular velocity of the reel, to the speed of the film drawn by the traction drum and to the position of the tensioning element with respect to the supporting frame along the respective movement path.

Abstract: A method for producing sleeve-like labels, comprising: a step of unwinding a reel of heat-shrink film, which comprises a plurality of pre-pasted portions; a step of separating one band of heat-shrink film from the reel; a step of feeding the band of heat-shrink film to a forming spindle; a step of wrapping the band of heat-shrink-film around the forming spindle, a region of overlap being provided between a first longitudinal end of the band of heat-shrink film in contact with the forming spindle and the second longitudinal end of the hand of heat-shrink film, the pre-pasted portion being arranged at a portion of the overlap region; a step of transferring the sleeve-like label from the forming spindle to a container to be labeled.

Abstract: A device for producing a sleeve-like label, comprising at least one feeder, designed to feed to at least one forming spindle a portion of heat-shrink film, and elements for wrapping the portion of heat-shrink film around the lateral surface of the forming spindle; elements for detecting the angular position of the free edge of the second longitudinal end of the portion of film wrapped around the forming spindle with respect to an absolute reference system that is jointly connected to the forming spindle; relative movement elements adapted to move the free edge detected by the detection elements to a preset position in order to provide a connecting portion at a preset distance with respect to the free edge, elements being further provided for transferring the sleeve-like label from the forming spindle to a container to be labelled.

Abstract: An apparatus for making “shrink sleeve” labels, comprises a carousel provided peripherally with a spindle arrangement shaped for being wound by portions of film made of plastics, a transferring unit arranged peripherally to the carousel for transferring each portion of film made of plastics on a respective spindle, an electrostatic-charge generating device arranged downstream of the transferring unit such as to charge electrostatically the portions of film made of plastics; a method for labelling containers comprises forming a sleeve and covering a container with the sleeve, the forming comprising winding a portion of film made of plastics to a respective spindle and maintaining the portion of film made of plastics adhering to the spindle in an electrostatic manner.

Abstract: An apparatus (1) and a method for feeding a continuous tape (3) for forming labels (2) is disclosed, according to which a pair of rollers (5) advances the tape at an advancing speed that is calculated on the basis of the rotation speed of one cutting roller (6) that cuts the tape into labels, (2) at a signal that is indicative of the cut that occurred and at a positioning error of an actual image present on the tape with respect to a reference image. The real image is detected by a linear camera (9) or by a matrix camera.

Abstract: A device for changing the angular relation between a carousel conveyor and a label applying apparatus including a support frame to which an internal hollow shaft and an external hollow shaft are mounted, the shafts being coaxial and respectively connected by a cogwheel to the drive shaft of the conveyor and to the drive shaft of the label applying apparatus, the shafts being coupled to each other by a rotatable coaxial joint which moves axially of the shafts.
