  • Patent number: 4090202
Abstract: A multi-band receiving antenna is supported on a windowpane for a radio-receiving set having a single antenna input socket. The antenna has a fishpole-type section which principally contributes to the reception of the metric wave band. A frame section, which runs parallel to the rim of the windowpane, principally contributes to the reception of the medium wave band. Each of the two sections contributes furthermore in a substantial measure, in the order of 10 - 20%, to the reception of signals having a frequency included in the band which is principally received by the other section. The impedance of the metric wave section is adapted by a spirally formed arrangement of the conductor or conductors of the frame portion of the antenna starting from the antenna terminal. The spiral forms an inductance of 0.2 - 0.5 .mu.H over an area of 5 - 15 cm.sup.2.

  • Patent number: 4089668
Abstract: Glass plates are re-shaped and tempered more accurately and with fewer rejects by horizontally passing vertically grasped plates into the heating oven to avoid problems inherent in the prior operation of passing said plates vertically downwardly into the heating oven. The plates are then heated to the softening temperature during horizontal movement through the heating oven and are then passed vertically upwardly to the re-shaping station.

  • Patent number: 4072955
Abstract: A multiband antenna as applied to a window pane, such as a windshield, includes a terminal which is to constitute a connection to a receiver. One or two conductors are attached to the terminal and extend vertically upward toward the top rim of the pane, are bent or branched so as to extend substantially parallel to and closely spaced from the top rim, side rims and bottom rim of the pane. End portions of the two conductors or branched single conductor are looped back and extend parallel to the legs which run parallel to the rims.

  • Patent number: 4072954
Abstract: A multi-band windshield or window antenna has a fishpole-type conductor for metric wave band signal reception, the fishpole-type conductor having a free upper end, which may be split or folded back upon itself. At least one second conductor is provided for the reception of medium wave band signals. Each second conductor is connected to a common terminal with the fishpole-type conductor, extends along adjacent at least a portion of a first horizontal rim of the windshield, is bent back upon itself, extends vertically parallel to said fishpole-type conductor, horizontally adjacent to a second horizontal rim of the windshield and then vertically adjacent to a vertical rim of the windshield.

  • Patent number: 4072953
Abstract: A multiband antenna for window panes includes a frame-type antenna component and a fishpole-type antenna component. The two components have a common output terminal. The fishpole component is free of any cross bar. At least one leg of the frame-type component which runs along the lower rim of the window is provided with a succession of horizontally directed S-shaped loops, each loop having a length corresponding to an uneven multiple of wave lengths corresponding to the central frequency of the metric band.
