  • Patent number: 10443433
Abstract: A gas turbine rotor cover includes a body, the body having an inner side facing towards a central axis and an outer side facing away from the central axis, wherein the gas turbine rotor cover is configured and arranged to extend in an axial direction and a circumferential direction relative to the central axis. An inner layer of insulation is attached to the inner side of the body and extends along at least part of the length of the body in the axial direction and/or an outer layer of insulation is attached to the outer side of the body, and extends along at least part of the length of the body in the axial direction. A gas turbine containing the gas turbine rotor cover is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10428737
Abstract: A method is disclosed of disassembling a gas turbine which includes a combustor, a liner, a turbine vane carrier (TVC) and an outer housing, the method including disengaging the liner from the TVC and removing the TVC from the gas turbine. The liner is disengaged from the TVC before the TVC is removed, the liner remains inside the outer housing and the combustor remains in the outer housing.

  • Patent number: 9382802
Abstract: A compressor rotor is provided having a rotor blade groove thereon and also includes a device for cooling the rotor in the region of a compressor rotor exit. Efficient cooling is achieved by the compressor rotor, in a compressor rotor exit region, having a ring which is pushed concentrically, and at a distance, forming a gap, over a rotor disk of the rotor, and is fastened on the disk, by the rotor blades, in the compressor rotor exit region, being inserted into corresponding grooves on the ring and being retained there, by first means for directing an axial flow of cooling medium from the compressor rotor exit through the ring, and by second means for deflecting the cooling medium which issues from the ring such that the cooling medium flows back in the axial direction through the gap between the ring and the rotor disk, encompassed by the ring.

  • Publication number: 20140003926
Abstract: A compressor for a gas turbine having a rotor rotating about an axis and a housing coaxially surrounding the rotor, thereby defining a flow channel between the rotor and the housing for a fluid to be compressed. Alternating rows of vanes and blades are arranged within the flow channel, with the vanes being mounted in the inner wall of the housing, and the blades being mounted in the outer wall of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 5477638
Abstract: A device for the introduction of a liquid substance into the trunk of a plant comprises a sealed container connected to one or more distribution ducts by means of at least an outlet duct. Along the circuit there are provided means to regulate and means to detect the flow rate of the substance towards truncated-cone injection needles inserted into appropriate holes in the plant's trunk. The method according to the invention involves the use of said device to allow the introduction of the treating substance into the layer of the xylem involved in the ascending vascular circulation of the plant.
