  • Publication number: 20120149039
Abstract: A diagnostic apparatus for organic-sample analyses including a fluid sucking and ejecting device to enable suction and inner storage or ejection to the outside of the fluid, a feeding needle that can be secured to the sucking device including an inner channel for passage of the fluids and to be inserted into containers for intaking or ejecting a given amount of the fluid, an actuating device, including a carriage, to spatially move the carriage along three axes, the carriage being susceptible of connection with the sucking and ejecting device, a first replacement station to house a plurality of feeding needles of the disposable type and suitable to enable automatic fastening and removal of one of the disposable feeding needles to and from the sucking device connected to the carriage, and a second replacement station to allow automatic fastening and removal of a precision feeding needle to and from the carriage.

  • Patent number: 5908116
Abstract: A mail accumulating device having a number of stream forming units, each of which has a pair of powered belts superimposed at a point of contact defining the input of the unit. Each stream forming unit is provided with a sensor for detecting the passage of a mail item into the unit, and for generating a signal for activating the belts, thereby moving the mail items retained on the belts from the input to the output of the unit in discrete steps, and forming a group of overlapping mail items with the leading edges separated by a substantially constant distance. The device also includes a number of conveyor belt devices, each of which has an input communicating with the output of a respective stream forming unit, to enable the conveyor belt to receive a group of mail items at the input and feed the group of mail items to an output of the conveyor belt device to define an accumulating unit.

  • Patent number: 5465825
Abstract: A mail flow compensating device which is a straight horizontal conveyor belt and is supplied with a stream of overlapping flat mail items. The flow compensating device is made of a stop wall sloping in relation to the belt and presenting a bottom end portion facing the belt. When the height of the stream exceeds a maximum value, the mail items contact and accumulate against the stop wall to form a group of superimposed mail items. The flow compensating device also presents an optical sensor for detecting the limit contour of the group of mail items, generating a full-flow-compensating-device signal, and cutting off supply to the conveyor belt.

  • Patent number: 5433325
Abstract: An accumulating device having ten accumulating units connected at the input to a conveyor belt system and designed to house a number of mail items. Each accumulating unit comprises a conveyor system composed of two belts contacting each other along a substantially straight portion and having a sensor for generating an enabling signal upon a mail item being fed into the accumulating unit. As a consequence of the enabling signal, the belts are shifted one discrete step so that the mail items fed into the accumulating unit are inserted between the two belts and overlap one another.

  • Patent number: 5386984
Abstract: A separating device wherein two belts with different friction coefficients present respective straight portions facing each other and converging at a contact portion. The belts are fed with a number of mail items which are wedged in the V-shaped opening defined by the straight portions and are fed singly through the contact portion by the higher friction coefficient belt and to the input of a follow-up conveyor belt system. The device comprises a barrier of sensors located between the contact portion and the input of the conveyor belt system, and which provide for determining the form and spacing of the mail items. The signal generated by the barrier of sensors is used for adjusting operation of the higher friction coefficient belt.
