  • Publication number: 20240080880
Abstract: Various embodiments include methods for rotating a control node role among devices in a control cluster of a wireless mesh network. Methods may include assuming the control node role by a first device based on a control node assumption timing in a schedule, and transmitting periodic messages to support the wireless mesh network. Methods may further include using the schedule to identify a control node role end timing and a third device in the control cluster that will assume the control node role, transmitting the periodic messages while monitoring for an extended advertisement from the third device after the control node role end timing until the extended advertisement from the third device is received, and assuming a passive node role upon receiving the extended advertisement from the third device or continuing the control node role when no extended advertisement is received from the third device.

  • Patent number: 10393857
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, devices and methods for determining an angle of arrival (AoA) of a signal transmitted between devices. Particular implementations enable obtaining measurements of AoA from signals that are not pure tone signals. In one aspect, a reference signal may emulate one or more aspects of a packet signal as transmitted by a transmitter. An AoA of the packet signal may be determined based, at least in part, on the packet signal and the reference signal.

  • Publication number: 20190082371
Abstract: A method for handover of a set of wireless devices is described. The method includes receiving, at a first wireless device of the set of wireless devices, data from a first serving device of a set of serving devices. The first wireless device has a primary wireless device role and a second wireless device has a non-primary wireless device role. The method includes determining, at the first wireless device, a handover condition for the set of wireless devices. The set of wireless devices is handed over as a set to a second serving device. The method includes becoming detectable, by the first wireless device. Each of the wireless devices in the set of wireless devices is configured to become detectable in response to the handover condition. The method includes receiving, by the first wireless device, an indication of a selected wireless device of the set of wireless devices.

  • Patent number: 10149133
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a deployment of a master radio in conjunction with one or more slave radios. The master radio coordinates with a UE, or transmitter, to transmit a particular known set of wireless signals in a defined time window over a dedicated wireless connection between the UE and the master radio. The master radio separately coordinates with the one or more slave radios to monitor for and measure the dedicated wireless connection during the defined time window (e.g., to obtain AoA measurements, signal strength measurements, etc.). The measurements can be reported to the master radio or a separate measurement processing unit to facilitate a location determination of the UE.

  • Publication number: 20180019870
Abstract: Aspects may relate to a device to provide access to storage to authenticated actors only. The device may comprise a processor and a storage. The processor may be coupled to the storage and may be configured to: obtain a nonce; obtain an actor signed hash for an actor; and apply a key derivation function utilizing the actor signed hash and the nonce as inputs to create an actor specific key encapsulating key (KEK). The processor may command the storage of an actor specific storage key, wrapped using the actor specific KEK. Further, the processor may use the actor specific KEK to unwrap actor specific keys used to access storage.

  • Patent number: 9754096
Abstract: A method for providing an update package to a node in a mesh network comprising a set of nodes and a gateway node arranged to provide access to an update server via a second network. The gateway node collects package information from each set node, including a first node. Each package identifies a respective node and its package version. The gateway node may query the update server based on the package information. The update server may respond to the gateway node with an updated package for the first node. The gateway node broadcasts the updated package into the mesh network as a sequence of mesh messages. Each of a first plurality of nodes of the set may forward the mesh messages to other nodes. The first node stores the mesh messages so as the sequence of mesh messages is received, assemble the updated package.
