    Abstract: A monocopter includes a housing and a propeller connected to a shaft. The shaft is connected to a main motor that is fixed to the housing (e.g., mounted within the housing) such that upon operation of the main motor, the shaft rotates and the propeller rotates. A first counterweight is interfaced to a shaft of a first motor that is interfaced to the housing and a second counterweight is interfaced to a shaft of a second motor that is also interfaced to the housing such that the shaft of the first motor is in a plane that is perpendicular to the shaft of the second motor (e.g., the shafts are at right angles to each other). The main motor, the first motor and the second motor are controlled (e.g., using artificial intelligence) to enable stable flight of the monocopter.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for maneuver training for an aircraft includes selecting a maneuver from a smartphone then determining a current location, a current velocity and a current direction of the aircraft by periodically reading a global positioning subsystem of the smartphone. Next, a tunnel for the maneuver is calculated from the current location, the current velocity, and the current direction and a first segment of the tunnel is displayed on a display of the smartphone; the tunnel represents boundaries of the maneuver. Thereafter, until the maneuver is completed, the current location of the aircraft is periodically read from the global positioning subsystem of the smartphone and subsequent segments of the tunnel are displayed on the display; the subsequent segments correspond to the current location of the aircraft.

In some embodiments, after the sky diver is released, the drone maneuvers around the sky diver to capture pictures/video of the sky diver. In some embodiments, safety features are included to assure the drone has sufficient battery power to achieve a safe jump altitude above ground level and to assure the release is not made until the drone achieves that safe jump altitude.
