  • Patent number: 9273754
Abstract: A non-uniform axisymmetric damper device is provided, comprising a first portion that extends radially outward from an outer surface of a flange protrusion, and is spaced from and concentric with the flange protrusion. Further, a second portion of the damper device is provided with an inner surface coupled to an outer surface of the first portion and a non-uniform outer surface extending radially outward from the first portion. Accordingly, a light-weight damper is provided that allows for resonance suppression in six degrees of freedom.

  • Patent number: 8287393
Abstract: An inner seal is provided for protecting a CV joint boot for a CV joint. The CV joint includes a bearing, a back sealing means and a front can. The bearing operatively connects a first shaft and a second shaft. The bearing has an inner race and an outer race and has a front and a back. The first shaft is connected to the inner race. The second shaft is connected to the outer race. The front can is connected to the outer race. The back sealing means seals against leakage of lubricant from the back of the bearing. The inner seal comprises an inner seal body having a front can sealing portion for sealing with the front can to inhibit the migration of lubricant from the bearing therebetween. The inner seal body has a shaft sealing portion for sealing with the first shaft to inhibit the migration of lubricant from the bearing therebetween. The inner seal body has a shield portion that extends between the front can sealing portion and the shaft sealing.

  • Patent number: 5396964
Abstract: An apparatus for processing soil in a subterranean earth situs. The apparatus includes a parallelogram spotter or positioning portion with a drilling table support portion connected thereto. A rotary drilling table is mounted on the drilling table support portion. Relative movement is provided between the support portion and the positioning portion in a plurality of planes. A pivotation portion is disposed between the support portion and the positioning portion and pivotally connected thereto. Hydraulic cylinders are provided to shift the apparatus about a vertical axis, to move the drilling table support portion in a longitudinal direction, to tilt the pivotation portion and support portion about a horizontal axis and to tip the support portion with respect to the pivotation portion about a longitudinal axis. A table elevation winch is mounted on the support portion and has a table elevation cable extending therefrom which is engaged with a pulley connected to the support portion.
