  • Patent number: 5966912
Abstract: A self contained trailmower includes a respective angled bumper housing positioned on each front corner of the mower deck in a position such that the angled housing on the outside of the mower deck is the first part of the deck to hit an obstacle in the path of the mower. Each of the bumper housings holds a plurality of bumper rollers with the rollers being placed in a line along the outer edge of each bumper housing and protruding outward past the bumper housing such that the rollers are the first portion of the mower to encounter the obstacle. The rollers thus urge the mower deck outward away from the obstacle and serve to cushion the impact between mower deck and obstacle. The mower also incorporates a convenient height adjustment feature.

  • Patent number: 5515774
Abstract: A rotary cooker includes a cabinet assembly having a bottom, a top, opposite sidewalls, a front wall and a back wall. A door opening is formed in the front wall and is selectively closed by a door hingedly mounted on the front wall. A spit/rotisserie assembly includes a drive shaft rotatably received in bearings mounted in the cabinet assembly sidewalls, and further includes a rotisserie selectively mounted on the drive shaft for operation in a rotisserie configuration. The rotisserie can be removed from the drive shaft for operation in a spit cooking configuration. A drive assembly includes a motor drivingly connected to the drive shaft, a battery for selectively powering the motor and a photovoltaic solar collector array for charging the battery.

  • Patent number: 5134838
Abstract: A grass pick-up broom for riding, walk-behind and tow-behind mowers includes a cylindrical sleeve rotatably mounted on a rear axle of a mower and having spaced elongate brushes fixedly attached to the sleeve and extending radially therefrom. The sleeve is connected by a belt to a rotary cutting blade powered by an engine mounted on the mower. When the cutting blade is engaged, the sleeve automatically rotates about the axle causing the brushes to rotate thereabout, propelling grass clippings and other debris into a grass catcher located behind the broom. The brushes of the broom also comb the surface of the newly cut grass, picking up grass clippings and other heavier debris and transfering the debris to the grass catcher.
