  • Patent number: 8109811
Abstract: An air duct for installation in a passenger compartment of a vehicle includes duct walls defining the cross-section of the air duct, such as a top duct wall and a bottom duct wall. The bottom duct wall may contain a fixing hole, whereas the top duct wall may contain an access hole. The air duct may be fixed directly to the vehicle body by a fastener, such as a screw, through the fixing hole in the bottom duct wall. To prevent air from escaping through the fixing hole, an outer wall of the bottom duct wall may be shaped at least in the area of the fixing hole so that it lies flush with and essentially air-tight against the vehicle body. After attachment, the access hole may be suitably sealed to prevent air from escaping.

  • Patent number: 7845488
Abstract: A coin holder with a plurality of coin accommodation openings is disclosed. Each coin opening comprises a clamp spring pair formed by two opposing sidewalls acting as clamp springs. Each clamp spring pair comprises at least two clamp regions with differently spaced clamp surfaces each for the clamping accommodation of coins having different thickness. Coins of different thicknesses are held in their respective clamp region, whereby thicker coins are held in the upper portion of the coin accommodation opening, while thinner coins are inserted more deeply and thus held in the lower portion of the coin accommodation opening. The coin holder can be used for various currencies, without the need for country-specific variations.

  • Patent number: 7475930
Abstract: An interior component for a motor vehicle is fixed to the vehicle by way of protrusions to reduce movement in a plane and by way of a tool-free fastener to reduce movement in a direction perpendicular to the plane. The tool-free fastener may Velcro® fastener. The tool-free fastener may allow slight movement along the plane during assembly and may prevent such movement by pressing the two complementary portions of the tool-free fastener toward each other. Employing such a tool-free fastener reduces assembly time. Because the tool-free fastener need not be accessible to tools, the fixation point may be placed at a location ideally suited for load-bearing.
