  • Patent number: 11963821
Abstract: A device and method for directing a cannula toward a target location under a patient's skin. The device is handheld and the device operations may be automated. The device includes an imaging probe for imaging the target location, a positioning unit for manipulating a cannula towards the target location, and a processor. The processor receives imaging data from the imaging probe, cannula pose data from at least one cannula position sensor, and device pose data from at least one device position sensor. The target location is identified from the imaging data, and a trajectory for manipulating the cannula towards the target location is determined based on the imaging data, the cannula pose data, and the device pose data. The processor may determine that the trajectory becomes misaligned with the target position, and may update to a corrected trajectory based on the imaging data, cannula pose data, and the device pose data.

  • Patent number: 11659132
Abstract: An electronic device including circuitry is provided. The circuitry generates a synchronization signal. The circuitry controls drive of one or more light-emitting devices based on the synchronization signal to generate a pattern of alternating light pulses. The circuitry further acquires a plurality of videos of the pattern of alternating light pulses from a plurality of imaging devices. The one or more light-emitting devices are positioned in a field of view of each of the plurality of imaging devices. The circuitry determines a frame in each video of the plurality of videos that includes a specific portion of the pattern of alternating light pulses. The determined frame in each of the plurality of videos corresponds to the same time instant. The circuitry synchronizes the plurality of videos based on the determination.

  • Publication number: 20230058405
Abstract: A method and a system for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) swarm control is provided. The system includes a plurality of UAVs including a leader UAV and a plurality of follower UAVs communicably coupled with the leader UAV. The system further includes a Ground Control Station (GCS). The GCS determines a geo-location of the leader UAV and determines formation information based on the geo-location. The formation information indicates a relative position for each follower UAV with respect to the leader UAV. The GCS further transmits the formation information directly to each of the leader UAV and the plurality of follower UAVs. Each follower UAV receives the formation information and adjusts a position based on the formation information.

  • Patent number: 9717452
Abstract: A method of controlling lancing speed of a lancing structure of a portable handheld medical diagnostic device includes providing an elongated lancet structure having a skin piercing end and a blood transport portion adjacent the skin piercing end. The skin piercing end when displaced makes an incision at a skin site to produce an amount of bodily fluid from the skin site and in which the blood transport portion transports the amount of bodily fluid away from the skin site for use by a measurement system in making a physiological measurement. A spring-driven motor assembly is operatively connected to the lancet structure. The spring-driven motor assembly displaces the lancet structure toward the skin site to make the incision for producing the amount of bodily fluid and retracts the lancet structure to carry the amount of bodily fluid away from the skin cite.

  • Patent number: 9537017
Abstract: A planar diode and method of making the same employing only one mask. The diode is formed by coating a substrate with an oxide, removing a central portion of the oxide to define a window through which dopants are diffused. The substrate is given a Ni/Au plating to provide ohmic contact surfaces, and the oxide on the periphery of the window is coated with a polyimide passivating agent overlying the P/N junction.

  • Patent number: 9018698
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a semiconductor substrate having a first type of conductivity. A first layer is formed on the substrate having the first type of conductivity and is more lightly doped than the substrate. At least one trench is formed in the first layer. A dielectric layer lines the bottom surface and the sidewalls of the trench. A conducting material fills the trench. A lightly doped region is formed in the first layer having the second conductivity type. The lightly doped region is disposed below the bottom surface of the trench. A metal layer is disposed over the first layer and the conducting material. A first electrode is formed over the metal layer and a second electrode is formed on a backside of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 8821199
Abstract: Consolidated power tips allow a power adaptor to be connected to disparately sized input ports of electronic devices. The consolidated power tips may be sized to balance insertion and pull-out forces for the disparately sized input ports. Deformable members may be added to the consolidated power tips for more desirable insertion and pull-out forces and improved electrical contact. For input ports with different electrical requirements, a mode selector may be added to the consolidated power tip to select between the electrical requirements of the different input ports. The consolidated power tips may be combined into a multi-prong power tip. The multi-prong power tip allows users to interface with a large number of disparate devices without changing power tips.
