  • Patent number: 5630407
Abstract: A T-shaped connecting piece is provided to enable a front stabiliser and two counter-stabilisers to be fastened on the central bow part of a sports bow. The connecting piece may be screwed in the threaded hole provided in the central bow part for this purpose and may be clamped on the central bow part in the correct rotational position by means of a threaded tube. The counter-stabilisers are shifted further forward owing to the T-shape of the connecting piece, so they do not impair the archer. Owing to the clamped connection between the connecting piece and the central bow part, the transmission of the strong vibrations produced during the firing of an arrow from the sports bow to the stabilisers is optimally guaranteed so excellent shots may be fired.

  • Patent number: 4653191
Abstract: A device for checking the setting on a sports bow having a bow window and a spring-biased arrow guide button projecting from the bow window includes a measuring sleeve provided with a scale to measure the projection of the arrow guide button from the bow window when being in contact with the arrow guide button. For measuring the spring force acting on the arrow guide button, the sleeve accommodates a spring bolt which is provided with a marking. By screwing a setting nut and a counter nut on the sleeve, the spring bolt is forced against the arrow guide button until the marking appears in a viewing window of the sleeve. The spring force can then be read on another scale displayed on the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4324222
Abstract: A mono-stabilizer for sport bows having a sleeve 5 is mounted on one end of a tube 7 and is provided with a screw bolt. On the other end of the tube 7 a terminal piece 8 is mounted which is provided with a self-cutting threading 9. This arrangement constitutes a mono-stabilizer which is resistant to breaking and vibration and provides a maximum damping of vibration. The sleeve has longitudinal grooves in the surface thereof. The sleeve includes structure for preventing rotation relative to the sleeve and for securing the proximal end of the elongated member to a bow.

  • Patent number: 4136461
Abstract: A sighting device is provided for a bow in which a sight is supported on a mount and the mount is mounted on a toothed rack. The mount has a worm gear thereon which meshes with the teeth of the rack to allow vertical adjustment of the mount and thus the sight with respect to the rack in order to adjust for altitude. The rack includes a standard scale thereon and a space for individualized markings of altitude gradations. Preferably, the rack is attached to a horizontal support having a slot extending therein. A bolt fits through the slot in the horizontal support and is screwed to a cradle secured to the bow in order to mount the sighting device on the bow.
