Abstract: A system for automatically assigning tasks includes a plurality of sensors configured to monitor an operator and generate physiological data associated with the operator. The system also includes one or more processors configured to determine a cognitive state estimate for the operator based on the physiological data associated with the operator, identify a task list associated with a set of tasks assigned to the operator, and identify one or more user metrics associated with the operator. The one or more processors are also configured to, based on the cognitive state estimate, the task list, and the one or more user metrics, assign a task from a set of assignable tasks to the operator. The one or more processors are also configured to and send, to an interface device associated with the operator, a task assignment indicator that indicates the task is assigned to the operator.
