  • Patent number: 4765679
Abstract: A chair has a seat connected to the seat support (1) by means of a front guide rod (11). The seat includes front and rear seat portion (8) hinged to each other. The rear seat portion (8) is secured to the seat support (1) by means of a rigidly connected downwardly extending element to which one end of a second guide rod (16) is hinged by a bearing (17). The other end of the second guide rod is connected by another bearing (15) to a section (14) of the back rest support (3). The back rest support is hinged at the seat support (1). A force storage member (13) is connected by joints to both the seat support (1) and to the seat.

  • Patent number: 4761033
Abstract: A chair with a seat support (7) has a seat plate (11) which is supported to the seat support (7) by means of a rear and a front guide rod. The chair has a back rest support (14a) that is pivot-hinged to the seat support (7). The seat support (7) is connected to a rigid, back rest angle support (1) by means of a front and a back parallelogram guide rod (3). The angle support is fixed to the bottom part of the chair (2). The parallelogram guide joints (3) are also connected to each other by means of a parallel guide rod (4). A first force storage member (5) is situated between the seat support (7) and the back rest angle support (1) and a second force storage member (15) is located between the back rest support (14a) and the seat support (7). The force necessary for the slope of the back rest is independent of the weight of the user. A user with higher weight must expend a higher amount of force for the slope of the back rest to move backward than a user with a lower weight.

  • Patent number: 4553483
Abstract: A worktable, especially an office table, which includes two side legs, at least one support bar which connects these legs, and a table-top. Also provided are rigidly interconnected support, connecting and fastening structures which permit different height positions and inclinations of the table-top with the aid of simple tools. The connecting, support, and fastening structures save space, and give the table the necessary stability and freedom from vibration. For this purpose, the fastening plates have holes which are equally spaced from, and are rotationally symmetrical to, the middle point of the plate. The bars have at least two fastening and support surfaces for the table-top and are eccentrically connected with the fastening plates in such a manner that in different rotary positions of the two plates, the fastening and support surfaces of the bars are located at different levels or height positions. The table legs have threaded holes arranged to correspond with the fastening holes of the plate.
