  • Patent number: 6120720
Abstract: This method involves the injection molding of a polymeric/copolymeric frame about a peripheral edge of glass panel in association with a pair of brackets to form a refrigerator shelf. The glass panel is placed in a cavity of a mold with a peripheral edge of the cavity corresponding to a peripheral edge of the glass panel. The cavity has side cavity portions each housing one of the shelf brackets. Polymeric/copolymeric synthetic plastic material is injected into the cavity preferably adjacent corners thereof such that the forces of the injected material are essentially self-balancing about the peripheral edge of the glass panel, thereby maintaining the glass panel in substantially mating conformity with the cavity to produce a relatively consistently contoured and cross-sectioned frame which, upon the solidification of the plastic material, also unites the shelf brackets to the glass panel.

  • Patent number: 5830552
Abstract: A table or cover plate comprises a core plate, e.g. of a wooden material, with an optionally coated top surface and an all-round edge protection formed by a plastics section, which covers the cut faces of the core plate and engages over its top and underside. The edge protection comprises two angle sections injection moulded as a closed profile, whereof an outer frame covers with a long leg the cut faces and projects over the underside of the core plate and with its other leg engages over the top coating, whereas the other, inner frame with its one leg engages on the inside of the long leg of the outer frame on its area projecting over the underside and with its other leg engages on the underside of the core plate and that the frames are interconnected at their engaging legs.

  • Patent number: 5551352
Abstract: An assembly comprises a core plate and peripheral edge protection covering a cut surface of the core plate and contacting the top and underside thereof. The edge protection comprises two angle sections injection molded in frame form. An outer frame covers the surface of the cut surface with a longer leg and contacts the underside of the core plate and contacts the top with a shorter leg. An inner frame is connected by one leg thereof to the longer leg of the outer frame and contacts with a further leg thereof the underside of the core plate. Elastic seals are placed between the cut surface and the inner frame. An expansion gap for the core plate is also provided between the cut surface and the inner frame.

  • Patent number: 4703150
Abstract: The connecting member has a sleeve body and a resistance heating wire embedded therein with terminals to a power supply. By heating the resistance heating wire, a welding area between the sleeve member is plasticized and welded. For checking the weld quantity, an indicator is provided, which comprises a cavity having a piston with an indicator pin movable therein in the welding area. During welding the material which becomes plastic as a result of the welding pressure is forced into the cavity, so that the indicator pin covered prior to welding is forced out through a passage and is consequently visible and tangible. As the travel of the piston is limited by a cover at the end of the cavity and the distance from the bottom of the cavity to the welding area can be selected corresponding to the desired welding pressure, the end position of the exiting indicator pin corresponds to a temperature and pressure range necessary for completely satisfactory welding.

  • Patent number: 4357280
Abstract: A method of processing photographic silver dye bleach materials which have been exposed imagewise is provided. The process steps are (1) silver developing, (2) dye bleaching, (3) silver bleaching and (4) fixing. The treatment baths for the process steps (2), (3) and (4), or the combined treatment baths useful for process step (3) with at least one the process steps (2) or (4) contain water-soluble tertiary phosphines as silver ligands. These phosphines effect an acceleration of the dye and silver bleaching and they are further suitable stabilizers and optionally antioxidants which yield stable treatment baths.

  • Patent number: 4336294
Abstract: A wooden board for use for example as a table top has a moisture-proof coating on its upper surface and an edging of synthetic material which is sprayed under pressure on to the cut edge surface of the board. The edging overlaps the adjacent edge of the upper surface of the board and penetrates a profiled cut-out in the edge surface. In order to give a good moisture seal, the cut-out profile has an inwards directed back cut immediately under the upper board surface and a lower outwardly directed projection.

  • Patent number: 4014699
Abstract: The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion which is suitable for processing photographic material. There is present or produced during the processing a substance which exerts its action on the photographic material from the aqueous phase. Contingent on the consumption the active substance is replenished or regenerated from the oily phase. The active substance is more readily soluble in the oily phase than in the aqueous one. The active substance may be, e.g., a dye bleach catalyst for silver dye bleach material or an alkylmercaptan, the latter acting as an antioxidant.
