  • Patent number: 5057355
Abstract: With the composite plates for raised floors which are supported at their four corners and consist of a shell with open top and manufactured of tension-resistant material as well as a filling of pressure-resistant material, for instance anhydrite, when the plate is under stress there is a higher deflection at the plate border than in the middle of the plate, which is undesirable. In order to substantially equalize the bearing strength of composite plates of the above structural design in the border and the middle of the plate and to assure such plates against rupture at the border, a reinforcement which is practically plate-high is provided on the side wall of the shell, which is connected with the bottom plate of the shell. In addition or alternatively thereto the density and strength of the filling in the border area of the composite plate could also be increased at least twofold as compared with the rest of the area extending toward the middle of the plate.

  • Patent number: 4723384
Abstract: In order to decrease the number of different structural elements required and to expedite the assembly of a rapid-construction framework as a support structure for ceilings and wall plates of a building, modular connections are used, each having four shaped guide bars, for connection of supports with tie bars of the rapid-construction framework, which are brought into force- and form-locking engagement with the hollow spaces of the supports or hollow main elements at the ends of the tie bars, for the assembly of the framework. Main elements, which are hollow on the tie bar side, are of the same dimensions and are welded in the same manner to the ends of the tie bars. A leveling member 40 is of diameter to that of the supports.

  • Patent number: 4501052
Abstract: The invention relates to a cantilevered composite structure plate for double floors, decks, roofs or the like, with a trough serving as outside reinforcement and made of a material with high tensile strength and high elasticity module, preferably sheet steel, and a filler material of low tensile strength and low elasticity module, e.g., anhydrite or concrete, placed in the hollow of the trough, and also with an armature in the trough floor, preferably in the form of funnel-shaped holes. The trough is formed with masses of the strong material being provided on the bottom of the trough floor in the form of substantially parallel, downwardly extending, flex-resistant rods that are disposed in substantially perpendicular relation to the trough floor.

  • Patent number: 4380996
Abstract: A roof construction for buildings comprising a framework of bars and junctions, the bars being arranged in sets which are located in several mutually intersecting planes that are group-wise substantially parallel. One group of a set of bars extends in substantially parallel planes of the framework and is aligned independently of building orientation in the direction of the highest elevation of the sun. Solar collectors are mounted on these sets of bars.

  • Patent number: 4162860
Abstract: A flange-screw connection between a rod and a junction means having corresponding support surfaces, characterized in that a flange is secured to a connecting part provided at the end of the rod, the connecting part being of such cross section as to have the same (area) moment of inertia as the rod. The flange comprises bores adapted to receive fastening screws therethrough, the bores being disposed near the outer periphery of the flange and each terminating in an insertion cavity for receiving the fastening screws.

  • Patent number: 3952402
Abstract: A structural panel having a thin-walled outer layer of high tensile strength and/or high modulus of elasticity material preformed as a large area trough open at the top and of a depth substantially the thickness of the panel, into which is poured a low tensile strength and/or a low modulus of elasticity material in metered quantities, which is compacted and hardened therein, in such a manner to form a composite with the trough where the trough is an externally disposed reinforcement member for the panel. The trough has a peripheral flange around the open top with accurately positioned apertures therethrough, or accurately positioned apertures through the bottom of the trough near the corners for connecting a plurality of the panels in alignment to external supports. The accurately positioned apertures are formed at the same time the trough is formed. The open top of the trough may be closed by a horizontal stress transmitting cover plate connected to the peripheral flange.
