    Abstract: An apparatus for securing freestanding objects to a support surface. The apparatus includes an elongated member having a first leg connected to a second leg such that the first leg is substantially perpendicular to the second leg. The first leg includes a first longitudinal axis along which at least one hole is formed in the first leg at a predetermined location permitting the apparatus to be secured to the freestanding object. The second leg includes a second longitudinal axis, parallel to the first longitudinal axis, along which at least one hole is formed in the second leg at a predetermined location permitting the apparatus to be secured to the support surface.
