    Abstract: An extension adapter includes a body, a collar, and a gasket. The body includes a front portion, a rear portion, and a flange separating the front portion from the rear portion. The front portion has a larger diameter than the rear portion. The body also includes an inner surface that defines a bore configured to receive a tool bit. The collar is moveable along the rear portion of the body between an unlocked position in which the tool bit is removable from the bore and a locked position in which the tool bit is secured to the body. The gasket is coupled to the rear portion of the body and abutting the flange. The gasket is compressed between the flange and the collar when the collar is in the locked position to block dust and debris from entering the bore.

By increasing the speed and conserving rotational inertia, the hand tool reduces the time to secure a fastener on a threaded shaft. A rotatable nut is provided. The rotatable nut can slideably orient along a first axis and threadedly orient along a second axis to fasten to an adjacent surface.

The extension adapter includes a retaining member received within an aperture of the body and a biasing member coupled to the body. The biasing member includes a protrusion received within the aperture to bias the retaining member into a first position in which a portion of the retaining member extends into the bore. The extension adapter includes a collar moveable between an unlocked position and a locked position. The unlocked position is configured to allow the tool bit to be removed from the bore. While the collar is maintained in the locked position, the body is configured to slidably receive the tool bit such that the portion of the retaining member is received in a groove of the tool bit to secure the tool bit to the body.

Each cutting edge is disposed along one of the plurality of steps. Each cutting edge defines a helix angle and a radial rake angle. The radial rake angle of the cutting edge at the first intermediate step is greater than the radial rake angle at the first step.

The helix angle of the cutting edge at the terminal step is greater than the helix angle of the cutting edge at the first step. A ratio of the helix angle to the rake angle of the cutting edge at the first step is in a range from 0.5 to 2.4, and a ratio of the helix angle to the rake angle of the cutting edge at the terminal step is in a range of 0.9 to 1.7.
