  • Patent number: 12219995
Abstract: A vaporizer cartridge for an inhaler has a hollow body with a continuous flow channel and liquid storage tank. The tank has an access opening to the channel and a vaporizer unit extending over the entire access opening. The vaporizer unit has a wick member and a heating member. The vaporizer unit is liquid-permeable such that liquid is conveyed at least initially in a capillary manner from the storage tank through the vaporizer unit in the direction of the flow channel. The wick member is formed from a plurality of granular grains which, as a result of their fill and/or formation, form microchannels which establish a fluid connection between the storage tank and the flow channel, continuously from an entry side to an exit side of the wick member. An additional securing means is provided which is holds the granular wick member in position. A corresponding inhaler is also provided.

  • Patent number: 10688645
Abstract: Method and apparatus for fastening rotatable items. A hand tool including two rows of teeth are used to grip fasteners such as lug nuts, screws and bolts. The teeth are located within a slotted region of the handle of the hand tool. Because the slotted region is within the handle, when rotated, both a lateral torque force and a sagittal pressing force is applied to the fastener. This combination of forces makes fasting easier and more efficient.

  • Patent number: 5273499
Abstract: In a clutch (6) for locking a differential gear for a vehicle, a movable half (60) of the clutch (6) is pushed indirectly via a sliding sleeve (70) and intermediate members (77) in an engaging direction. Then the sliding sleeve (70), with a locking surface (74), retains the intermediate members (77) firmly in a locking position between a bearing surface (64) of the movable half (60) and an axially stationary retaining surface (4). Flanks (52, 62) of clutch teeth (51, 61) of an axially stationary half (50) and of the movable half (60) form in the axle direction a deflection angle (55). The bearing surface (64) and the retaining surface (4) form a wedge angle (65). The locking surface (74) of the sliding sleeve (70) is inclined in an axial direction forming a small releasing angle (75). To open the clutch (6), the sliding sleeve (70) is pulled away. A torque produces through the deflection angle (55) an axial deflection force which then disengages the clutch (6).

  • Patent number: 4861172
Abstract: This anti-lead seal prevents the accumulation of torsional and tangential stresses on one and the same sealing element by way of an intermediate sleeve (6) which forms an axial seal gap (7) with one of the coordinated corrugated or housing-like machine parts (1, 2) and a radial seal gap (8) with the other. Since the intermediate sleeve (6) is firmly retained via a torsional safety (11) and an axial fixation (13), the sealing elements (9) for the radial seal gap (7) are stressed only by relative axial movements and the sealing elements (12) for the axial seal gap (8) are stressed only by rotational movements. Here simple elastomeric parts can be used that are easy to supply and can be quickly mounted.

  • Patent number: 4711332
Abstract: These drive connections with freewheel mechanisms, especially provided for advancing and reversing operation of all-wheel vehicles, have at their disposal fully self-acting reversing shift rings (13) depending exclusively on the respective direction of rotation of the shafts (1, 2) serving as sensors of direction of rotation (22) after the reversal operation there are provided locking elements that become entirely free from torque transmission and have controlling forces dependent on direction of rotation (helical toothing, tiltable ratchets, detent balls, etc.) on a shift ring (13) which is movable by the sensor of direction of rotation (22).

  • Patent number: 4518065
Abstract: An axle drive mechanism for an automotive vehicle whose transmission is connected to a continuously coupled axle. The mechanism has a drive shaft forming part of another axle, a drive wheel rotatably mounted on the drive shaft and operatively connected with the transmission and the selectively connected axle, a clutch between the wheel and the shaft actuatable for rotatably coupling the wheel and the shaft to selectively engage the other axle, and a parking brake for the axles. The parking brake comprises a housing, a first brake between the wheel and the housing, and a second brake between the shaft and the housing. A common actuator is provided for both brakes, thereby immobilizing both of the axles independently of the operation of the clutch.
