  • Patent number: 11904928
Abstract: A method of operating a steering column of a motor vehicle, which includes a height adjuster including an electric motor and a controller to control the electric motor to raise and lower along an adjustment path of a steering assembly connected to the steering column. The control is effected by pulse width modulation and, by varying a duty cycle of the pulse width modulation, an electrical voltage is adapted in such a way that the raising and/or lowering is effected over an adjustment path at a constant adjustment speed.

  • Patent number: 11904929
Abstract: A height adjustment device of a steering column of a motor vehicle includes an electric motor and a reduction gear. The electric motor drives a threaded spindle to raise and lower a steering assembly connected to the steering column. The threaded spindle is engaged with a spindle nut, a rotational movement of the threaded spindle is converted into a translational movement of the spindle nut in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the threaded spindle, and the threaded spindle is surrounded on a circumferential side by at least one spring that exerts a spring force on the spindle nut to counteract a weight force of the steering assembly acting in the direction of the axis of rotation of the threaded spindle. The at least one spring includes a compression spring between the reduction gear and the spindle nut and tensioned when the steering assembly is lowered.

  • Patent number: 11402010
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a transmission housing unit and to a transmission unit which has said transmission housing unit. The transmission housing unit has a housing main body which has a through hole, through which a shaft which penetrates the housing main body in the axial shaft direction can be pushed into the housing main body, a wedge-shaped compensation element for axial play compensation between the shaft and the housing main body which engages around the shaft at least in a U-shaped or arcuate manner, and a pre-stressed spring element which is arranged between the obtuse end of the compensation element and the housing main body. The compensation element can be displaced radially in the direction of the shaft axis along a guide surface of the housing main body between an assembly position and an active position.

  • Publication number: 20220166299
Abstract: An adjustment drive includes a DC brush motor, a brush card assembly including electrical contacts of brushes with busbars, a Hall sensor assembly, and a transmission. The Hall sensor assembly is on a printed circuit board which is integrated in the brush card assembly. A pin terminal is on the printed circuit board to contact the Hall sensor assembly, and the brush card assembly includes a plug body with a plug collar. The plug body is at least partially penetrated by the pin terminal and the busbars to define a plug.

  • Publication number: 20210057965
Abstract: An asymmetrical, direct current excited brushed motor may include a motor shaft; a commutator with a number of lamellae arranged in the circumferential direction; an armature with a number of armature teeth and armature grooves, where anchor windings are arranged in the armature grooves to form coils; at least one brush pair for supplying the coils with power, including two brushes contacting the lamellae; and a number n of permanent magnets in the stator to form a magnetic field, where n is a multiple of 2 and n>2, and where the number of armature teeth is unequal to a multiple of n. A position angle between the brushes of a brush pair is equal to or less than 90° and unequal to a multiple of the position angle between two directly consecutive lamellae.
