  • Patent number: 4580848
Abstract: An antilocking arrangement with piston pumps for pumping the braking agent back from the wheel cylinders to the master cylinder, all modulators are combined in one housing in such a way that the pump piston can be driven by a single eccentric. For this purpose, all pistons as well as all paths of movement of the pistons are disposed in the plane of rotation of the eccentric.

  • Patent number: 4470637
Abstract: A vehicle wheel, of the type that carries a tubed tire includes a wheel body, a rim which has a plurality of segmental rim parts, a solid retaining ring which engages all of the rim parts along one side thereof, cam and cam follower means between the rim parts and the wheel body which, when powered, urge the rim parts outwardly, and a power device connected to the wheel body which is capable of actuating the cam and cam follower to urge the rim parts radially outwardly into a final position, wherein there is established an equilibrium between the urging force applied to the rim parts from the power device, and, respectively, a restraining force applied to the rim parts by the ring due to its tensile stress.

  • Patent number: 4184429
Abstract: A doctor blade for wiping excess ink from a printing surface of a printing form is disclosed herein, along with a method for making such a doctor blade, and printing equipment and methods using such doctor blade. The disclosed doctor blade comprises a doctor blade body having a constant blade thickness between parallel blade surfaces, and a marginal blade tip portion adjacent the doctor blade body having a shaped blade bevel essentially identical to the run-in blade bevel of a wedge-shaped conventional blade at optimum tonal quality size. Throughout a useful depth of its blade tip portion, the disclosed doctor blade has a constant blade tip thickness equal to the height of the shaped blade bevel measured essentially perpendicularly to the mentioned useful depth, which is equal to several times the shaped blade bevel height.
